Vegas is a shithole that’s no different than any other major city’s worst parts once you move away from the strip and even the strip sucks now. Vegas used to have so much charm in the 90s and 00s and a weekend trip was fairly inexpensive for the value you got. Now the strip looks so soulless and corporate. Prices for everything in Vegas has gone up. The casinos nickel and dime you for parking, to hidden resort fees that don’t add anything of value to your stay, there’s no complimentary drinks or food for gamblers at most casinos anymore, and they will do whatever they can to squeeze more money out of you you. The games are a complete scam now where they aren’t fun to play anymore.
agreed the strip has become super corporate over the years. for example, green day comes here and plays private corporate gigs and makes absolute bank doing so. so he hates it here and pretends he's against authority, but comes here and plays for major corporations. hmm. off the strip, some of the best restaurants and hiking you can find. its a great place to live.
