I vote carb, always moe powah especially with the blow through, the intake will be sweating it be so cold 🥶 packing all the stuff in the hole, fuel injection is easier but carb is more badass and will make more power in the end just like n/a just on a bigger scale
It does deserve a fair test session with the efi and a good clutch. Then carb it!!👍

Glad to see a new video. I'd run it one more time with the efi. Then switch it to carb and run it once. Then add the blower to the carb setup.

Rodney throw the blow thru setup on McNuggs with the twin turbos. 2 pipes outthe hood. Use McNuggs as the test bench, if it works like I think it will, then do blow thru on the silver car.

I know you are debating about EFI. But you and I both know that that there was a time when every individual tune their own cars before technology took over, that is what a racer did. Nowadays just get a tuner with a laptop. And according to his skills can make you a winner. To me that's not drag racing. Ever racer the real racers and weekend warriors stayed up tune down on their own cars, day and night and had a 9 to 5 job! Or what have you at that time. But we enjoyed finding that little edge ware we could win a races. I just wish that there was a class like back in the day. But it was dedication and your skill to tune your own car our truck. To be competitive! I'm just a Georgia boy given my point of view (a.k.a )pinto Bill have a blessed one 😊

Hey for the alternator mounting you can always have an aluminum welder fab up some funky bracket onto the alternator itself just a thought.
I’m not technically worried about it fitting, it’s just not a straight swap/bolt in vs the factory one and will need a a few spacers and test fitting..

I have a question I picked up up a sweet set of bbk long tubes but realize there for 351, will they fit the 302 iam going to run mini bullets and that’s it on these thanks 🇨🇦..
Hey Bro, it’s great to see a new video. Why not try the silver car, with the changes you’ve made to it, and see how it runs? Change the clutch and put it back together as is. Then you’ll see how much better it runs EFI. You can still keep building the carb for boost and keep that in your back pocket. If it were me, I’d take the most solid car and put the roll bar in it. Put it on the Jenny craig diet, add the anti roll to the rear suspension, put your new K member in it, and the new brakes in it, ……… . That way you have a solid car that has all the goodies in it.
It’s not quite that simple…I’ve got a bunch of work to do to the car and it’s basically do it all at once or do it over 3 times..I didn’t explain it very well in the video so that’s on me..basically efi is a dead end for me on this deal and I’ve went faster every single time swapping so this time shouldn’t be any different plus all the stuff I’m doing I wouldn’t know “really” how good the efi could’ve been so why worry about it🤷🏻♂️…new k member is already in it 😉… bottom line is I’m just unmotivated, it’s to damn hot to race and I’ve generally just got a bad attitude about all of it right now if I’m being honest 😐

That makes me want to sit on the couch in the A/C!! lol 😂!! The biggest thing I need to do to my car is get a front end alignment done, then some new brakes, with new rotors and pads on all four corners.
FaiLTD needs a 150 shot with a progressive controller. Although it would be killer with a blow thru setup.

AEM 400lph and an earls/holley reg designed for carb/efi pressure..already have both items…

A/c or not there isn’t enough room in my shop to do any meaningful work..plus I’m in the heat at work from 3am till 2:30 or so when I get home I just want to chill out..or it’s raining 😵💫
You have to ask yourself what the end goal is for the Vortech engine. Clearly, you've chosen the engine for the power adder but are stumped on the rest of the equation.
How fast do you want to go and what will get you there safely and within budget? Obvious answer is your lightest most disposable car, I'm guessing McNugget. Some welding will reinforce its weak link, as will a roll bar.
Even if this isn't the final home for the Vortech engine its a good placeholder until you make a more permanent decision. Btw, quit pretending EFI is an alternative to a carb. You've never made more power or faster passes in an EFI car. Subconsciously you keep buying carb parts cuz you know its true.
