The exterior of our office building is stucco and we use heavy duty command hooks that are specifically made to hang on stucco and they work great so that might be a great option for you to explore to hang your beautiful garland. Everything looks absolutely beautiful! I think a black front door would really pop against the neutral colors of your home. Everything you do is so beautiful, thank you for sharing it with all of us!

For Christmas a few years ago I got my hubby the Harry's subscription and then got a razor for myself as well (orange for me). I love the handle grip, the great shave it gives, and he absolutely loves the Aloe shaving cream and the after balm.
The porch turned out beautifully. I think it looks fine without the garland but then again I'd have to see it from a street view to really tell but I get that you need to protect your privacy on that subject.
Happy to see you took time for yourself. We don't always do enough of that as women with our busy lives but it's so necessary to recharge!!!
Can't wait to see all the "new" for the upcoming holidays. Many blessings and happiness to you all as you settle into your new home.

Scrub your porch tile with any good cleaning solution and that mop. You can use a push broom too. The outside front porch can be hosed down frequently and pressure washed as needed. Have your high windows cleaned once a year. I do mine early Nov so they are clean for my favorite holidays. Your tile floors interior can be vacuumed and then mopped with vinegar and water. Enjoy your gorgeous home. ❤️

I had a home with stucco. To hang a garland around the door, we screwed two small hooks into the top corners of the wooden trim above the door. I used two pieces of heavy duty wire maybe 8" long, made small loops in both ends of each wire. I looped one end of each wire over a hook. I got the garland into place and then brought the loose end of each wire under the garland and looped it over the hook. Moved branches and leaves etc to hide the wires. Once the wire was in place on the garland, I left it there from year to year so I could pull the garland out of its container, put both looped ends on the hook and it was very fast and easy to hang the garland. It was very windy where I lived, so we also had small eye screws at the bottom of the trim on each side of the door. I looped the smallest of bungie cords around the bottom of the garland to keep it from swinging around too much in the wind.

Beautiful and inspirational as always. A hack I learned from another RUclips creator for hanging garland on stucco, brick, etc. is to use hot glue and zip ties. Apply a generous amount of hot glue to the middle of a zip tie against the "grout lines" of the stucco. Gently pry it off when you no longer need/want it and it doesn't damage the grout. I hope that helps. Congrats on the new home. Enjoy it in good health for many years to come.

It turned out lovely. You are right about transitioning to a different type of exterior: it is a learning curve, but you are very gifted and talented with decorating spaces. I know you will turn it into your vision. I will say perhaps you can add the bench back to the side wall for more depth and dimension to the space. Looking forward to seeing all that you have planned and glad you are feeling better.🤗💕🍁

The best thing for "hanging" decorations on stucco is to use Hot Glue! Works on brick too. I hot glue my Christmas lights every year - works great, and comes right off. For cleaning tile I really like my steam mop & my spin mop - I recently saw that there is a steam-and-spin mop, so that sounds like the ultimate solution, but I dont have one. And grout is a whole different story! Good luck!

I scrolled through & saw my idea for the command strips. I didn’t realize there was one specifically for stucco…that’s awesome! If you can’t get the command strips to work though, you could always hang the garland inside so you see it through the glass around the door. It’s not exactly the same but it would probably work until you find a more permanent solution. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful decorating ideas & part of your life with us! Happy Fall!

I will say this... I grew up in a Spanish style house with tile & stucco. My dad powered sprayed it. Now this was in the 80's & 90's. So i am sure there are other ways. The one thing you will hopefully love is that stucco is ah-mazing for spider & cobweb decorating. Cannot wait till you decorate for Halloween.

Oh my goodness!!! I am crazy about cleaning, organization, decor and the list keep going. I watch so many videos on you tube but honestly I don’t know why some thing about you made me want to check every single day for a new video from you🥰 I am from Brazil been on US for about 20 years not speak English very well and that is one of the reasons I never made any comment on videos before because I can’t write perfect 😅 but you deserve me make myself embarrassed here😂 two things I love your decor today and I love your standards in life about your family ❤👏👏👏👏 and second I was a housecleaning for almost 18 years and here are some ideas for you about your tile get them really wet and dry with probably 3 times using the same mop you did for your porch every time you dry them and take to the bucket again rinse and do again the clean you get them, also do yourself a favor whatever part of your house you have tile and you won’t be replacing them later get the grout sealed I know is a lot work but one time done you will have a perfect tile for a long time. About your windows don’t use windex use only a window rags not to wet and you can use a window pull attached with you rag best and fast way to keep them clean, if you need more info about this please let me know.
Thanks for helping us with all your great ideas 🇧🇷🥰

Garland can be added to your front door by adding jumbo command hooks to the glass panels. Amazon has a huge hook that’s meant for the shower so it will withstand the weather. (Mine has been up four years!) You can’t hammer into stucco….but you can drill. I have lathe hooks drilled into the wall above our front door. I add seasonal decor (garland) all the time.

I am from Florida. The best way to hang things on stucco is a command strip and hot glue. Instead of using the sticker from the command strip you put hot glue on the back. It works great. But you will have to paint if you pull it off.

You can use the heavy duty command hooks for your garland. They also have heavy duty suction cups for glass where you could hang too. Honestly I just leave the command hooks up year round because I use garland for every holiday. I did make sure to use the out door hooks. Just paint them the color you paint the door and leave them up. I do use wire to secure the garland to the hooks. Not floral wire though. It's not strong enough unless you do want to use several pieces

Loving the porch so far! I’m pretty cut you can use conman strips on the stucco. Rub the area with a little rubbing alcohol to clean the paint right where you want to stick the hooks and then put the hooks on and wait at least an hour before hanging anything from them so that they adhere really well. Even if they end up falling it won’t damage the stucco. But I’m pretty sure it will hold just fine.

.... I just saw a Notification for the new Video.... so I'm here , lol ! Can't wait to see how everything is going to look !
Okay so the best thing to clean just regular tile FLOORS , porches... and it will also clean the grout- please don't use harsh cleaners it destroys the grout- .... I've always used this , on the recommendation of a tile guy - that's all he did for a living - to use a scant amount of blue Dawn dish soap and you just need a tiny bit, mixed with plain white vinegar and not scalding but " almost hot " water and you can also add a little bit of baking soda to that mixture if you want a little more cleaning power.... but you don't need a bunch of fancy cleaners... that should do it. What happens is a lot of cleaners will just leave a film on the tile and they also destroy the grout and it will start to crumble and fall apart even if it's been sealed, I've seen that happen so you just have to be careful. And I actually use a diluted bleach to clean my bathroom tiles because it kills everything... it kills staph, it kills everything , and I'm very careful with that too I use it diluted down and I don't scrub really hard, just enough to get everything clean and rinse it with hot water. I hope this helps. :)

Hi Lauren, I agree your door needs painted. I would paint it a rusty orangey color, pulling out the orangey color from the stones on the wall. I would also paint your porch tile, a solid, dark color, to ground the porch. We got some concrete paint from lowes or Sherwin Williams, and painted ours and it looks soo much better than it did. If you can swing it, you’d feel better getting wood laminate floors put down over those tiles inside the house, asap. I know if anyone can transform the house, it is you. Loving watching the process. Lv ya girl!😘❤️😘😘😘

I love my steam mop for cleaning tile floors as well as the ecloth for windows. You will go through so many paper towels otherwise.

Absolutely beautiful! We moved to a stucco home in FL and outside decor is a whole other way to hang than I was used to also. I would suggest two or three hooks ( Use Command hooks but not the tape) that you adhere permanently with an adhesion made for stucco. Paint them the same color as your stucco. I tried Command hooks on my windows (like yours)but my Christmas garlands are so heavy they fell down. The hooks will be there permanently but you do seasonal garlands for many other times of the year so they will be nice to have and ready to go.

Loved how it turned out, I was also told you do not put holes in the stucco, but I have seen people hang things on there stucco? You can put push pins if you can into the trim of the door and hang the garland. I love all the color you have going on the mums are beautiful it is hard to tell they are not alive.

Lauren the porch looks gorgeous!!! You give me great ideas and inspiration.
For the stucco, use a hot glue gun. Hold the garland against the glue for 30 seconds until it dries. When you take the decorations down just peel the glue off. It won’t damage the stucco.

Beautiful job on the porch..gorgeous colors! Maybe try the command strips on the stucco? There are Google articles on how to get them to adhere to stucco, but on some stucco that will be a no. Maybe just try putting garland around the door border itself unless that won't work for you. Good luck and it looks great even without garland.
