Love the videos, I have a 2010 bmw x5 xdrive30i, and you guys videos have been life savers I have over 210k miles all highway and parts and videos from your site is always a game changer 💪🏽💪🏽
Great Video as always. Have to tackle this job one weekend. I noticed you recommending Elring parts as opposed to Mahle or BMW genuine. Curious as to why?
Hi, quick question about the cleaning of the rest of the engine. My oil filter housing is leaking oil on my N20 and it's leaked on few components below it, at the front on the engine. Currently I'm waiting on the gasket kit and the serpentine belt an tensioner to arrive in order to change them. Would it be safe to use break cleaner to clean the front components that oil leaked on or not?
Just pull each injector wire and the fuel pump fuse before priming. I was scared too, so did both and it seemed to work fine. Also, I poured oil into the filter housing, just in case (and cause you lose a lil oil doing this job)
Just did this job and man, access was a PITA. This video explained everything perfectly though, massive help!
😎

Woooh, thank you for wrenching with us Miguel!
Have you had to do an oil pan gasket yet?
Had to do mine, make sure you clean it well!
For sure!

Doing this job now. So should i replace the o-ring for the upper radiator hose?
Must have known I needed to change my oil filter housing gasket 😂😂😂
😂😬
Is an oil prime required for just replacing the oil thermostat valve with one from BMS?
Thanks brizzo.
What do you use to flush coolant that has been mixed with oil?

Yes, but only on metal surfaces. I wouldn't use it on rubber not electrical components. Use rubbing/isopropyl alcohol for those
i been putting this off as im so afraid its going to spin a bearing.

And what do you do if you strip the e10 bolt at 13:04 😭😭 tried our best not to and we did. Sad day. Any recommendations for taking it off?
