good job. quick thing on your description tho, a weapons base element is still calculated into damage. element augs on the weapon do also count towards the damage. even if a monster doesn't have the best element hitzones like rakna, you'd still wanna run the element it's weakest too. The best lvl 14 and above glaive for each element is amatsu for water, reg rath for fire, narwa for thunder, auroracanth for ice, and chaotic ,gore for dragon.
@@calcgaming85 for some matchups yes, like on gold rath with the narwa glaive, you can hit 300+ per tick. it can be goofy. for matchups like rakna who have shit elem zones, it's not too much of a difference, but it still gets a little more damage if you care about that. 😂
Not for Powder vortex, the only way to have increased vortexs is using a glaive with the highest raw value (amatsue) Element plays no part for increasing vortex damage nor does any offensive skill like attack boost, Agitator, etc just the base value of the weapons attack. Also Powder mantle can proc with vortex too! You want to use the amatsue glaive again for its silkbind skills boost of 10% that's for awakened kinsect. All in all good job but if you want to pump more vortex power I suggest what I mentioned 👍
@@RageKing897 You're not correct about a weapons base attack affecting vortex bomb. the only thing that effects vortex bomb damage is kinsect supercharge deco and lvl 14 kinsect on the glaive. amatsu silkbind boost does not effect vortex damage what so ever, but does effect awakened kinsect damage. and a weapons base element value (Element Augs Included) do effect the damage of each individual hit of awakened kinsect so it's still recommended that you build a glaive with atleast lvl 14 kinsect and the highest element value of each element. (IE Each AKA hit doing 300 damage with the narwa glaive on gold rathian compared to 250 damage on amatsu glaives hits) please don't take this comment as a personal attack, but i have done extensive testing and research on explosion bug playstyle to verify all the info above is correct. please either test it out thoroughly yourself or ask other people who extensively use the playstyle before commenting so people aren't misinformed. Edit: about the element stuff, whatever the monster's weakest element is, that's the glaive you wanna use

oohh i don't know that thanks for the info, is the damage difference big enough? I chose primo glaive mainly for the slots :D

oh cool on gold rath i am happy just seeing 200 ticks AKA, 300 ticks is big difference for sure.
