Chris, you exceed everyone’s expectations on I’m sure every dent. What people don’t know is how easy this Dent would’ve been without the Bondo you were struggling the whole time without wanting to fracture paint or make some flaky weird push that would crack some weird bondo crack. Dude this repair was phenomenal and I’m glad you shared it. I try to share everything and I have personally taking on some bigger jobs lately. With the help of that get a grip tool and the umbrella I’m rockin. Thanks so much for your work and everything you do it all pays off in the end. Garth Peterson PDR

@@catfisher420 catfisher420 the mud don't have to be directly in the area hit. If its just outside the area 3-6 inches or even up to 8-12 inches the metal around it reacts different as the mud absorbs the vibrations which is essentially what is required to move metal when striking it.

I remember a few years ago a car show we have in the UK called top gear, they visited one of the luxury car companies, it was Aston Martin, or Rolls Royce or whatever, and they spoke to this old guy who was a panel beater.
The camera panned down and looked right along a door panel, and it was like a sheet of glass! Then this old guy pulls a marker out of his pocket and circles all these low spots and you're like what?? Are you kidding?? Mad skills! :-)

We just had a guy do 2 truck beds where I work, first one was very minor, he was done in about 20 minutes, it looked pretty good but there was evidence that there was work done and he didn’t clean the area he worked on, the second truck had a small crease about 7 inches long and a small dent, he was finished in less than an hour, for the most part the dent is gone but you can see damage from the crease and like the first truck he didn’t clean the area he worked on. He didn’t do the fine hammering that was done in this video. He didn’t use a puller or anything other than pry bars to push on the dent and punch that he used sparingly. There was a third truck with a dent about this size from the video without any creased areas and he said he couldn’t do it because it was too big. This video was awesome and the dedication is very evident to be a master at your skill, BZ, job well done

Love seeing professional workmen doing their job and overcoming difficulties that arise,I fully believe that it's how you react to problems that define who you are, I was in construction and when I walked onto a site and there was a problem I said it's happened so let's try and fix the problem, I used to get very cross and angry about other people's mistakes and having to go and fix their errors, perhaps I was to much of a perfectionist, but then I realised right it's happened let's fix it and I became a calmer person still prone to outbursts at times but that was because of others laziness,so watching this reminded me to take a break and return with a different mindset, top class work well impressed with your attitude

*Great repair Chris* !! Sometimes these *large damage repairs* that take several hours can seem like there is no end in sight.
You mentioned there being mud in the panel from the previous repaint. It would have been interesting to see a paint depth gauge show how thick it was. I've run into similar repairs and sometimes I think it also could be a heavy primer or just how much extra paint is on the vehicle. that makes these difficult to push up like normal.

Body shops don't drill them to pull dents anymore. They weld on a stud and pull it then grind off the stud. No holes to fill and no stretched out holes to hammer back down. I tried PDR. I'm not that talented or patient. It took a long time and still needed hammer and dolly work before bondo.

Awesome job. It goes to show how this the metal is, that it can move like that and not kink it stretch. And for the clear coat to give without cracking on a panel that's not supposed to move, unlike a plastic bumper cover. Had it been twenty years ago, or more, you wouldn't have been able to do that, especially on a body line. I've done box sides in seven hours, on 90's pickups, back when I worked in a body shop.

On the 19 and up Rams, the thin metal can be pulled, but it has a memory that pulls it right back.
All I can figure is a brace behind it to keep it in place.
Thinking about pvc pipe with a T on the dent inside.
The darn thing looked like a piece of cake to push out.
Mine was brand new. I rolled into my wife's back bumper and got a big dent.
    No paint damage.
    Man, he does beautiful work.

I love auto body as a hobby but paintless is a whole new world, more of an art! Just unreal how easy you make it look! Nice work.

I really really like that in most of your videos you use the dent dials alot. Just watching your videos i get to learn how to use dent dials more than Sal himself released on his channels about his products. To make it worse he just removed most of his videos about dent dials. How upset i feel spending over 2000 dollars on dent dial products and when i wanted to watch his videos to learn how to use them he simply removed them all !!!!!! Thank you Chris. Big time

Outstanding job ! It takes lots of patience in manipulating them panels to reverse the collision. I know because I've tried it many times and often make a mess of it. If you're going to take on this trade you must breath it and eat it, day in and day out. Practice is the key ! And of course, proper tools...
