  • My mate Pieter and I braved the elements for some epic fishing. The fishing literally wanted to jump onboard!

It was raining. The fish didn't mind. They were already wet. The two anglers soon got wet & cold but they had a terrific session with some pan size Flathead caught. About 24 Flathead, a few Bream & at least 1 Tailor. Not bad. Thanks for sharing.

Are you aware that there are plans to dredge Coomera River. On the News recently.

Cabbage Tree boat ramp. Get the wind and tide wrong and it is a nightmare. Been there many times. Refuse to go now as it is too hard for one person if you get it wrong. I launch at Jabiru Island then cruise and fish my way up to the pin and back. Launch and retrieve in any weather from this ramp. Keep up the vids mate.

Wow thats a mission from Jaibaru. I often go jw if I’m doing a solo trip. They really need to upgrade this ramp hey

@@sonniesfishingadventures Hey mate. It is only 20ks up and back or head south to the seaway which is only 10ks there and back. No matter what weather or tide you can still launch and retrieve on your own with ease. I only have a stacer 429 with a 22.5 litre portable tank and running a 50 hp 4 stroke yamaha. Have not run out of fuel yet. I still take a 10 litre backup though just in case. The jw ramp is way to busy and needs an urgent upgrade. They need at least 3 double ramps there. All the best mate and tight lines.

@@desgamble7643 The Paradise Point boat ramp is a good one. A little closer to the Broadwater than Jabiru and an easy place to launch and retrieve by yourself.

@@sonniesfishingadventures Glad you had a great time. What was the tide doing? I guess the water would have been pretty muddy.

Tide was actually going out when we arrived at 8am. Pieter just asked Siri for the tide instead of using the app. We were told hightide was midday which turns out to be the total opposite. Normally with the going out tide I’d hit up crusoe first. We were amazed of how many flatties we were getting on the ingoing tide. I have always thought outgoing tide was the go for them. Turns out on the incoming the flatties were congregated on top of the drop offs and the breams were on the bottom.🤷🏻‍♂️
