Probably the closest Dino Crisis movie we will ever get.
Those 1+2 need a decent reboot.
I was working at Concorde around this time. The word was: Corman didn't green light the sequel because the first was successful; he green lit a sequel because he had paid a lot of money for the Carnosaur models, and wanted to get at least two or three movies out of them.

My dad rented this for me from Blockbuster way back in the day. Makes me want to play Dino Crisis.
Dino crisis is a classic!
My aunt let me rent this and get cheap pizza while babysitting me in the 90s, didn't get to finish the movie.
This was fun to work on in 1992 or whenever (I did some effects for the first film also). John Buechler was a really friendly effects supervisor too.

I'll say this: Louis Morneau's two Jim Belushi movies Retroactive and Made Men are both really enjoyable!
Personally I think the carnosaur is just an Osha employee who takes his job very seriously.

I would love to see a movie or TV show adaptation of Primitive War, which is about US Soldiers battling against time displaced Dinosaurs in Vietnam.

I remember laughing so very hard a few years ago, at the review Carnosaur 1. I do have 3 hours to spare, with The Snob for his 1983 episode.🙂👍👌
Doesn't matter how villainous Cliff DeYoung comes off here... He's still more likable than he was in Independence Day (1983)!

Cliff DeYoung is so good at playing a villain in movies or television. He and Wings Hauser always look like they're having a ball being over-the-top jerks and crazies!
I quite liked him in Shock Treatment.

Well i mean obviously the feature has to have someone that is semi drunk throughout the production. Its a B movie after all. And since Cameron Mitchell kicked the bucket by that time someone had to step up and take one for the team. John Savage is a trooper. ;)

I got nine minutes into this video and only then realized I'd forgotten this movie was about dinosaurs. I love it.
So, I have very fond memories of this movie from back when I was a teen! I remember that this movie aired in this one channel here in my country that used to air some really "bad" b movies late at night, and I would watch them all the time with my mom, and Carnosaur 2 was one that really stuck with us and we would constantly joke about it for weeks (we kinda joke about it until this day heh)

My experience with this movie is I never saw Carnosaur. But recall owning a DVD of Raptor and I had a DVD of Carnosaur 2 and I thought they were the same movie with different actors. Have you ever seen Raptor? It has Eric Roberts and Corbin Bernsen. Idk what came first Raptor or Carnosaur also Carnosaur 3 spliced things in from Raptor you did not see. They don’t make sense half the time the stuff from Raptor and the stuff from Carnosaur.
I love how the Paul riser knock off is even wearing the same clothes as his character did in Aliens
Hey! I just retired last week so I might just have 3.5 hours I can fit in between studying music and reading for pleasure!
Honestly, despite me preferring the first film's more somber and apocalyptic tone and style, this one is definitely a fun follow up to pass time with. The shift from Deinonychus to Velocirraptor is ok but I kinda preferred the dinos from the first movie a lot more, even if these new ones have also very good suit work.
Movie 3 I always found weird with the whole plot point of "the raptors and rex somehow work together" lmao.
I love the smell of Carnosurs in the morning...smells like grilled cheese...
I spent the whole damn video wracking my brain as to why John Savage was so familiar and what I knew him from before finally realizing he played Captain Ransom in the Voyager episode where Janeway is the most like a villain, Equinox.
He was also in Dark Angel... my sister loved that show. I mostly remember it for being the first place I ever saw Jensen Ackles and wondering how the hell he wasn't more famous and a bigger deal.

I've always loved the carnasaur movies they are all good fun in their own ways.
I remember watching this with my friend who had a bunch of odd ball dinosaur movies horror, action, adventure, and even science ones that are really outdated this always was the one VHS that we watched before the jurassic park 2 or 3 VHS tapes

When i was a kid The vore scene was soo brutal for me , very violent , a great HORROR movie

The first film was so over the top, I just had to see the review for this film.
I managed to get the Carnosaur trilogy dvd set for over $40.00. Quite a bargin.

Only eight more Carnosaur movies until they go in space! Unless we go by when eating Jason's heart would turn someone into him. Then it's the next movie! Either way more Carnosaur is a good thing!

Every time you review a movie Cliff DeYoung is in I always anticipate the references to both Shock Treatment and Independence Day. The man truly elevates every movie he shows up in.

Well when they bought the film rights to the books, they got a six film deal. Idk how it works with Jurassic World, but I would assume the rights will revert back the Crichton Estate.

It’s feels to much likes aliens or abyss but with hilarious dinosaurs ever.
Still better than any of the Jurassic World films, especially Fallen Kingdom.
