Your ability to separate your 2 lives is quite amazing. Congratulations! I really appreciate your rehabilitated guidance. Happy Holidays!!! I think most men would understand why he did what he did. But in that Life if you can die for hitting a made man wouldn't you also be in trouble for killing one? Great program Sir.

You respected him when it counted, not crocodile tears at a grave. This is why Jesus said let the dead bury the dead. My father always told me that life is for the living. I had an uncle in "that life". Been dead a long time now. I had two brothers who tried to follow him into that life but my uncle, to his credit, he refused to let that happen. Unfortunately they both followed their own paths, my younger brother was in prison more than out. He died earlier this year. I was the only family member still talking to him and I made sure his final days was as good as they could be under the circumstances. We love our families. We hate their crimes. But we love them. People outside the life tend to romanticize it. Ain't nothing pretty about any of it in my opinion. What a testimony you have and I'm so glad you are willing to share so hopefully more young people won't try to go into it. You make it real. I hope anyone who's young and thinks that life is something to work towards changes their mind. Jewels in your crown in heaven:-)

The irony lies in the fact that when we’re young we don’t think of all these sacrifices and mistakes we make that keep us from or take us away from the ones we love and if we’re lucky and somehow miraculously stay away from these destructive decisions and environments and get older and mature then we are thankful for not following through with our immature, selfish and uneducated sometimes naive choices we didn’t make. Life is just way too short and hard to intentionally throw away our future for romantic ideas that only exist in the movies. Thank you God for protecting me from myself.

My mom passed away in March 1997 just 7 months after my son was born, and my dad passed 10 years later in July. I miss them so much.....I find myself breaking down in tears almost every day lately. I really feel like I need to speak with someone about it, but the psychiatrists here just seem to think that prescription antidepressants will solve the problem. I speak to God every day about it, and I DO receive some comfort, but how are YOU able to deal with it without tears? Any advice you can give would be a miracle from Jesus. In advance, grazie, fratello mio!

I’m a young Asian woman who thinks you’re an amazing man. Your past is the past, but you seem so sincere and truly a good Christian. We’re probably two people that have the least in common, but I can say with all honesty that I feel such a connection to you that it’s scary. Funny thing. When I tuned into your podcast (which is regular for me and now many of my friends) and you mentioned this show (and I also love everything Sly does) I went and subscribed Paramount plus and binge watched all seven episodes. 😂 And, one of my moms best friends who cal Aunt Tina..

Sly’s character in this series reminds me if his character in “Get Carter”. I think thats why i also like the show because that was one of my favorite movies with him in it.

It’s crazy to me that I can even have a slim chance of having your ear but man you are a true man. I love that you are who you are and I am so glad you do this I look past your past to be able to see you now Awesome.

I'm really enjoying the series. I'm 45 and have lived my whole life in Tulsa. I knew this show was great but I wasn't sure if I was being partial because it's my hometown. Turns out it's not just Tulsans loving it because the reviews are great and it has legends, like Michael Franzese, giving reviews of the series. Mob films, specifically Cosa Nostra, have always been my favorite but never thought I'd see a great one with Tulsa as the main setting.
