You could get scored on your tactics; fewest bullets to drop a target, no friendly fire, no non-combatants killed, etc. That would have been a dope Co-Op with repeatability.

COD reaches millions of people on console so the Co-op I described would have been a cool way to get more casual players into slower paced MilSim style game modes. Insurgency Sandstorm brought some console players that direction but that game is garbage on console for no reason. The textures look like the inside of my ass even on PS5. It sucks. I’d love to get my friends on Ready or Not but they’re not PC players and likely never will be. They just love the simplicity and low effort of booting up a console and immediately playing.

In basic you can't, but Tier 1 operators could after 2007 according to Rob O'Neill and DJ Shipley, who practiced it while they were at DevGru. There's been a couple of Delta guys before who said they had to start doing it when they got to Iraq also.... but that's only because they're Tier 1 operators, and they spend soooo much time on the range and in kill houses working together- learning one another's motions and body language and mastering their craft -that they can get away with it if it will help them sweep for enemies more efficiently. I've heard of British SAS doing it also. They're the only ones who were allowed to paint their teammates though. They're all so goddamn skilled and experienced at their craft that they could trust their teammates to paint them without shooting them. If I had to guess, I would say that's probably no longer allowed. It sounds like it was just a short-lived response to the situation on the ground at the time, and not a full time policy change.

I used to know someone (my friends husband) years ago that is an engineer and worked on the technology in the night sights used in the bin Laden raid. He showed me all kinds of crazy stuff. For one. It’s not the standard NVG’s we are all used to. The reason there are 4 optics feeding into two eye pieces is that it gives a panoramic view. Just like using a VR headset, you need both eyes open to see a full view. Also, they have IR heat vision, more sophisticated than FLIR overlaid on top of the standard IR “night vision”. So it makes it EXTREMELY clear. In fact one could argue that it’s easier to see a human through that than it is to just use your eyes in daylight. So basically, they didn’t have the challenge you’re describing. Superior tech that will probably be unavailable to the public for a long time.
Not everyone is a poor who can only afford old PVS-7s… LOL but true. If they wanted to make it true to life it would have that tube look for the lack of depth perception needed to run straight into the CP doorway on the OP you were just dropped off on.

Immersive yes, but you don’t shot enemy combatant and leave the distraught child alone and don’t secure the weapon. That’s an automatic fail, that could lead to a teammate dead or seriously wounded.

It's a sad reality and that makes division against one race. when you killed a mother and father, the enemies were their sons, when you kill sons, the enemies were the aunts and uncles, when you kill them it is just a multiplication of hatred and misunderstanding misinformation. It never ending the war were facing. I am amazed by the graphics but never ever in the storyline especially this SF moves. it's very different in reality.
