  • I have never gone metal detecting on a beach at night... until now.
I've got to say it was a bit eerie, but once I got going it was all about the targets!
The LED torch function on the Manticore makes this type of detecting so much easier! Just go to the General Menu and link the LED torch with your preferred soft key, and away you go!
Join me on the hunt as I find some awesome stuff!

Nice Steve. Was the only light you used from the Manticore?

Yep - it’s surprisingly strong with a good spread, and didn’t seem to affect battery usage at all because it’s only an LED!

It’s nice and peaceful on the beach at night, as long as it’s not too cold or windy! Good luck mate!

I'm over in WA at the moment and I might try a bit of night beach detecting as well. Great lot of finds you got there. Cheers John

It’s good fun, although depending on the location it can be a bit eerie. I’d definitely suggest keeping one ear uncovered if you’re going to wear headphones, just so you can hear what’s going on around you…

Might have to do a night beach hunt soon. You don't have any issues running your coil cable loose like that Steve?

I usually have the cable wrapped a little bit tighter than that - didn’t actually notice it at the time - certainly wasn’t getting any falsing or interference though…
