I remember so well when this tragic event happened. Scott, I cried when you put the stuffed animal on each of the graves 😢. Ty for being so respectful to the victims. You are the best Scott. May those young girls RIP!!💔🙏
Thanks, Scott. Nicely done. Chris McNair was Denise’s father. Maxine was her mother. Maxine lived the longest of all the girls’ parents, passing just last year at age 93. Chris and Maxine are in the documentary “4 Little Girls” by Spike Lee. They explain why they chose to hold a separate funeral for their daughter. Gut-wrenching.
I'm here in Montgomery Alabama about 45 minutes from Montgomery. Denise Mcnair, Attie mae Collins, and Cynthia wesley are the ones who had a joint funeral. It was Carol Robertson who had a private funeral. Her parents allegedly planned her funeral separately because they'd made arrangements already
@@juanitaarrington3209 OK! That is very interesting! It has been many years since I watched the documentary. I do remember crying and feeling sick over it. I love that the church and park are monuments now, but I hate the reason for it. The statue of the dogs makes me very uncomfortable.
@@juanitaarrington3209 Yes, I was going to add that correction about the joint funeral vs. Carole Robertson's. It's understandable that Carole's family would begin making arrangements Monday morning. Her mother said in 4 Little Girls that the ministers (Dr. King among them) didn't propose the joint funeral until later Monday, after they had made their own arrangements.
One of the saddest moments in American history- 4 young girls who were taken too soon. Spike Lee's documentary "4 Little Girls" is heartbreaking but powerful film. Thanks Scott for presenting this to us. Have a great week. God bless 🙏🏽
Tis a shame that after about 500 years, people STILL hang on to ignorance and hatred. 500 years and STILL that way... and to teach it to your kids to carry it on is demonic, wicked, and disgraceful.
Well the white man pushed the agenda , you took us from our land . I teach the truth so be it if it ruffles feathers or makes certain people feel uncomfortable . Truth is truth
Scott I love how you honored the girls individually as well as collectively. You even honored the two young kings, that many don't talk about. Thank you for that Scott. You never disappoint.
I live in AL what happened to those little girls is sickening. May they rest in peace. Awesome knowing you were here, from one Scott to another thank you for all you do.
I was there 20 years ago in 2003. Walked around the park across the street too. Never could understand the level of evil a person can show to another person.
I have listened many times to the Joan Baez song...Birmingham Sunday....written for those 4 little girls who lost their lives in this senseless, cruel and depraved act of violence. Heartbreaking. Thanks Scott for your sensitivity and respect in telling this tragic story.
I came back to watch this video after watching the documentary. This is one of the saddest parts of history, these innocent little girls 😢. Thank you Scott for your love and compassion when covering the most heartbreaking stories such as this one. ❤
Scott filming in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. As a local let me say "welcome friend!" For me, this is the most saddest and horrifying moment in Alabama history regarding Civil Rights in the 1960s. I really appreciate the heartfelt compassion and respect fhat you show in your videos for the victims and their families. Thank you for your videos. May those 4 little girls souls rest in peace.
I was yust born tht year in Scotland. I have never heard of this very sad story before. Thank you so much Scott for all your respect when filming and may those little kids RIP. ❤
Thank you for this Scott, those 4 little girls should be honored and remembered, always❤ You did a wonderful job in telling the history of this tragedy. May these 4 angels rest in peace 🙏
Thank you for documenting this and for leaving the plushy toys for the poor children from your followers as well. I'm one that may not ever be able to visit this location, but I am deeply saddened by what took place.
Scott, this is one of your best videos. 1963, 60yrs ago my husband's age, this was a beautiful done video, the young girls murdered were my father's age, he is still living...God bless you ❤
I was 1 years old in 1963. My dad went to Taiwan instead Vietnam during that time of the year. My mom and my grandma and great grandma was quite upset what happened to those church people and girls. Prayer was sent. RIP. God will prevail.
Thank you Scott, this video was so thoughtful and respectful. I live about 30 miles north of Birmingham and have visited the church and Ingram Park several times. But I’ve never been to the graves of these precious girls. My heart was with you as you paid ‘our’ respects. Thanks again.
I remember seeing that horrific bombing on television and reading newspapers. I was a young adult. Thank you so much for a beautiful presentation and reminder with such respect Scott!! So, so sad! RIP GIRLS ❤
Wow, Scott! I normally don't cry when I'm watching videos. But this one touched me so deeply as I was watching it, that I'm still crying! Those poor girls didn't deserve what happened to them....nor did any other person of color that has ever been terrorized and/or killed based solely upon the color of their skin! Thank you for having the compassion and guts to post this video! 🌹
Scott, thank you for sharing and doing this video. I appreciate the deep respect and care you show in these videos. The stuffed toys were a very sweet touch.
Thank you for the video Scott. I was born and raised in Birmingham. Cynthia Wesley’s father was the principal of my school, Lewis Elementary School. I grew up in Birmingham in the sixties. I still have thoughts of those days. Trauma from the memories of those days have not died for me. I remember the bombing.
Scott thank you for honoring the little girls. Was such a horrible thing… pointless thing to happen. The little stuffed animals that you left was very touching and a sweet thing to do❤
Thank you Scott for being us along for such an important point in history we need to remember. Thank you for placing the stuffed animals for us all. Very sweet for those girls who were killed due to hatred. We remember

Thank you Scott!! I was born one day after this happened! My Mom made sure I knew about those Four Girls! I am so glad Spike Lee did the documentary about the Church Bombing. Scott you did this with this so much respect and humility ! ❤🙏🏽
This is such a wonderful video Scott. Great job as usual. It's a shame those four sweet little girls lost their lives at church that day. Hard to believe that took place 60 years ago. And here we are in 2023, sixty years later, and from all of the social and political crap that is going on, one could argue that we are worst off now than we were all of those years ago. So much hate, political, racial divide in this country. The ones that keep bringing up race and hatred, the ones that keep making everything about race and bigotry, are the ones that are truly racist and don't want racism to die. Sometimes I wonder if/when we will ever get past one another's skin color and just realize that we all bleed the same color blood, have the same color bones, have the same internal organs, breathe the same air and drink the same water, as well as we all put our pants on the same way, one leg at a time. We all have more in common than most media and government officials care to admit. When will racism and bigotry become a thing of the past, so that all of God's people can live as one race....the human race? Love the video Scott. Peace out and God Bless!
Hi Scott, what a horrific story, I’m glad justice was done for these girls and the other victims, like you said Scott, it still happens today, and it’s so wrong, RIP to the 4 little girls 💐💐💐💐, and the other victims 💐💐💐💐💐, never forgotten. Thank you Scott xxxx

Very sad indeed on the day of 15 September 1963 Sunday morningand all this was during the "Civil Rights Movement" with Martin Luther King... My dad and aunt went to school with the girls. My aunt wanted to go to church with them that day but my grandparents took them to Gadsden, Al that weekend to visit family. One of the girls mother (can’t remember which one) taught my dad and he said after that she was never the same, she stopped teaching.

I just moved to the outskirts of Birmingham 6 months ago. Thank you for educating me today as I'm slowly learning about this beautiful state and how rich in history it is.
You did a beautiful job I can tell this affected you emotionally and you go above and beyond with the stories, and I love the little fury friends that's something really special blessings to you always❤
This is the most saddest video you've done, I'm literally in tears of how we were done back then, didn't deserve it. Thank you Scott for the video we love you
I was less than a month old when this happened. Oh how my heart broke watching this video knowing these precious sweet girls were killed by such hatred. Those terrible men getting away with it for so long. Those sweet boys murder in cold blood for nothing. I’ve always that this is THE HELL ON EARTH! When God calls us home all there will be is pure love for one another. We all bleed red, why can’t people realize that? Thank you Scott for sharing this video with us. I love you for all the hard work you put into all your videos. May God keep you safe whiling you are traveling. 🥰♥️💕✌️
Wow the first 3 girls all born in April of 1949 like weeks apart and passed away together. May god bless them all their family. thank you for the video Scott!

I live in Birmingham, and pass this church often. Growing up here, it's easy to take for granted being so close to such a pivotal location. It's easy to get complacent about the devastation that took place when you see it every day, but a few months ago, I had time on my lunch break, so I just went to the church and memorial and walked around. It's surreal to be there, but I don't want to get desensitized.
Even before watching your tribute, I saw the pictures of the four girls and the tears flowed. Thank you so much for covering these murders. At a time when some are trying to stop this history from being taught, it is more important than ever to remember. Thank you.
thank you for honoring the memory of these beautiful girls Motown Money. The day my great grandmother. grandmother and father headed to Detroit that morning.
Thank you for doing this 💜 because I wandering when someone was going to talk about this situation and and story,, i feel so so awful about those precious little girls, may they rest in peace 🙏,
Thank you for sharing and doing an amazing job of bringing this to more people. The stuffed animals was beautiful for 4 little girls. It brought tears to my eyes!!
Very good! I remember a documentary about this and the song Birmingham Sunday by Joan Baez was the song played at the introduction of the documentary that came out in 1997. R.I.P.💔🌹🕊
Scott a amazing job on this Sad Point in history! Appreciate the amazing way you articulated this to a complete story as there was so much we didn't know about this ....but you took us from the beginning to the end & with details we didn't know! Ty for the well researched and the efforts put into this amazing Vlog.
Fantastic vide….so respectfully done. This event has haunted me from the time I was in third grade and began learning about Dr. King and the Civil Rights movement. I still cannot process how anyone could do such a horrific thing, especially to children. Thank you, Scott.❤
I am not sure how I came across one of your videos, but I have watched a few of them and I love how you honor all of the grave sites. This one brought me to tears. I will now hit the subscribe button.
This is why I love to watch your channel. I am just trying to catch up on your videos, this one didn’t disappoint. I love how you are so respectful at gravesites.
Thank you for telling this important, heartbreaking story. And thank you for telling it with such respect. You do such a wonderful job with your videos.

😓Very, very sad. Hatred is a sickness. How could you hate people, that you never met, so much that you can kill them? It's crazy.
This was a very vlog, thank you
You did a beautiful tribute to those 4 little girls Scott!
You're gentle and considerate when you visit gravesites. Terrible topic, great video. Hands down my favourite vlogger.
Thank you Scott, very moving and a very important time in history.
Thanks for representing us. Bless their sweet innocent hearts.
The little stuffed animals you placed for each girl at thier final resting place truly touched my heart..." Thank You Scott"; Very Beautifully done.
Fantastic vide….so respectfully done. This event has haunted me from the time I was in third grade and began learning about Dr. King and the Civil Rights movement. I still cannot process how anyone could do such a horrific thing, especially to children. Thank you, Scott.❤
