I was noticing the weird "Tubular" body as well. It was really strange to me. His arms should be longer and wider, and I think his upper chest should've been wider as well.
I definitely appreciate your skill to expose all points of value regarding this figure. P.S. still looking forward to your figures being released! Great review
Answer of the day: for the bulky suit of armour look, I’m partial to Mk.45 (last suit in Age of Ultron). For the sleek nanotech suit, definitely Mk. 50 (Infinity War). And thanks a lot for the detailed review. It’s been a great help deciding whether to buy or not.
I would go with the mark 7, I have both and personally I love the mark 7 figure more, the articulation is better on the mark 7 and it doesn’t suffer with the short arms syndrome
The reason some people make a big deal out of the pinless tech is because it’s a cleaner design and it has a benefit. That benefit is that the joints won’t warp and it won’t be gummy.
Thanks for the detailed review. It was tempting to get this Mark III, but something about it was making me hesitant. Thanks for clarifying the reasons. I’ll be happy to stick with my Mark VII
I'm still a huge fan of the Mark III, and the original War Machine suits, though if I had to pick a favorite I'd go with the Mark XVI "nightclub" from Iron Man 3.
Thank you for another fine review!!!! I kept looking at his short arms as soon as I got it out of the package!!!! My 2008 Iron Man has normal arms, but, he is very short and small comparatively speaking. It is a good figure, but, it can be better...What are we gonna do!!! I still bought it!!! On the shelf, he looks great!!!! Thanks again for the review!!
I agree with all of the engineering issues you pointed out, plus many but not all of them have HEAVILY ratcheted arm joints that click loudly and take too much effort to turn without feeling you will break it, and I've seen a few people whose arms DID break off. There are more engineering issues with Legends this year than I've seen in a while, which makes me wonder if they've had turnover among their engineers and the new ones are going through a learning curve. Mark 3 had it's share of engineering issues, but the big engineering snafu of the year are the ratchet joints in the Haslab Sentinel not working for the vast majority of people getting them. I now wonder if some firings or demotions are pending in Hasbro engineering due to the Sentinel issues.
Im your biggest fan!!! Sometimes I don't have time to watch all of your vídeos but i really try cause I enjoy them very very much, I would love to watch more vídeos of your costumes By the way, please make a review of the ZD toys Ironman mark 3 cause I think you would like it more than this one at least in the aspect of proportions and color.
Could just be the lighting, but I don’t like how bright the colors are. The Mark III was a LOT darker in the movie, like in most scenes the suit was straight up burgundy or maroon.
Is the drop down hinge mechanism in the thigh works like the vintage/ retro spiderman? If so, than it is the worst implementation and most likely it can't stand straight on it's own just like the spidey.
@anthonyscustoms. Will you be reviewing more marvel legends infinity saga figures. Would like to see your opinions on the iron man and thanos two pack and the end game Thor. Thanks.
I know you're not super into Legends at the moment, but I think you need to take a look at Ironheart and the "What if...?" Doctor Strange Supreme. Ironheart because (popular opinion on the character aside) the figure establishes a new quality paradigm for female characters in the line. It's FF-wave-Doctor-Doom levels of good. Strange, it's all about the head articulation. Think deluxe War Machine engineering at "regular guy" scale. Anatomically, it's not a home run, but the range-! There's plenty for you to sink your teeth into, review-wise, and I'd really like to hear your opinion.
You're the only reviewer I've seen that has pointed out how short the arms are probably because you pay close attention to anatomy. If the articulation was more fluid and it had a more deeper red paint job this figure would have been much better.
Spot on review. I bought this. The MK-4 and MK-6 are my fav armors. I kept this fig in the box hoping to sell off in the future. Such a downgrade from MK-7 IMO.
My favorite suit is the MK.45 (the armor he wore for the final battle in AOU not the MK.43 which is basically the updated MK.42 from IronMan 3) I like how alien it looked and how the bulkiness was just perfect. It's sad we only got a small screen time for that suit.
I had the original, I know you're railing on the shoulders. But the armor on the shoulder of the OG couldn't even stay on. I legit lost one shoulder pad because it always fell off. The only good thing about the original was the red they used because that red was more accurate.
It definitely looked better in the packaging. I didn't even know this was going to be a release until I just randomly came across it in Target. Kind of regret buying it sense I'll probably just put it in a drawer eventually and never touch it again. But for the nostalgia, it does the job.
It's actually very disappointing to be honest... I knew it would be great when I've seen the pictures but at the same time very frustrating not to have it in the right colors. I could forgive it not being 100% accurate but not with this plastic-y look... I am not a completist so I'll definitely pass on that one... And yeah the Mark lll is the one I like better. The more 'modern' it got the less 'armor' it looks and I don't like it.
It's a great figure, but I 150% agree with you about the arms; they throw the proportions completely off. They aren't bulky enough and are too short. If they would have fixed this, we'd have the perfect Mark 3 Iron Man figure.
Iron Man mk42 is the best objectively followed by the MK6. The Gold is fine but the Red is well red while when it should be more a dark cherry red coming off as purple at times. It's the follow up MK4 that uses that red of this toy. Overall Iron Man is painted like a car. The neck - that is not happening at all on my figure. Of course this is the figure you have and that's what you got to review. I might be more inclined to say you have QC issues. Same with the plasticizer. The hips/ankle. I can't say I agree with you . I feel like I'm getting some pretty good range for how bulky the suit was in the film., Ultimately If I rated it I would give it a 9. But I'd give it a 5 if I had that neck issue you experienced.
For your QOTD, MK 85, this MK 3 and MK 7 are really close, but I will give MK 85 as my favorite. I wish hasbro do more for this MK 3 for the paint, they release it this late and doesn't give us the accurate color.
His shoulders are small because this figure is film accurate. If you go back and rematch the 1st ironman mcu movie, his shoulder pads are particularly small.
Hasbro wants $40 for this figure here in Canada. GTFOH, Hasbro! Red plastic with crackhead arms, legs, and chest, with minimal paint? Not worth $40 or even $25…
I was noticing the weird "Tubular" body as well. It was really strange to me.
His arms should be longer and wider, and I think his upper chest should've been wider as well.
I definitely appreciate your skill to expose all points of value regarding this figure. P.S. still looking forward to your figures being released! Great review
I really hate that I can look at this, see nothing wrong, and then him point something out and me not be able to see anything besides that flaw
That's why I sometimes avoid Anthony's reviews of figures that I really want to love!
@@RXNRMDN gotta keep consume am i right
Lol
@@AnthonysCustoms that happened so hard with the new retro Spider-Man and his shoulders

Bro, check out the ZD Toys Iron Man MKIII, it makes this guy look like a McDonalds Happy Meal toy
Torn about this and the Mark 7. This one just has better execution with the shoulder pads. What’s your suggestion?
I would go with the mark 7, I have both and personally I love the mark 7 figure more, the articulation is better on the mark 7 and it doesn’t suffer with the short arms syndrome

Should i get this or mark 85 or mark 50 or star boost iron man
The red should have been a bit maroon-ish
Like always a good honest review
Hey Anthony kustoms have you pre ordered the an anerican werewolf in london figures but when they come out you should do a review on those figures
I'm still a huge fan of the Mark III, and the original War Machine suits, though if I had to pick a favorite I'd go with the Mark XVI "nightclub" from Iron Man 3.
I hope Cooler is one of the reviews on deck. Super excited to hear your thoughts on it. And also event exclusive Nappa and SSG Goku.
Thank you for another fine review!!!! I kept looking at his short arms as soon as I got it out of the package!!!! Is it just me or do the arms look too short & the torso too long?

the proportions really killed my interest in this. I'll be sticking with the Mark 7 for my MCU display. Great review as always man!
Looking forward to almost daily uploads!
On no I cant unsee the arms now lol cheers lol

Mark lll 100%
Woulda never noticed that the arms are shorter until you said something
THE BEST ARTICULATED MCU ML IRON MAN EVER. It's not perfect though but out of the MCU saga line, this is my favorite the most!
This is basically the only hasbro ucm iron man who can do the superhero landing, that should give him 8/10
He really can't though.
I like his nanotrch suit from the Infinity movies. It looks super sleek.
Could just be the lighting, but I don’t like how bright the colors are. The Mark III was a LOT darker in the movie, like in most scenes the suit was straight up burgundy or maroon.
It's not the lighting. I talked about it in the video.
Great review 👍
Yes i agree the shoulders are too small, the hands are too short 👍
Thanks for always pointing out the flaws of figures objectively 👍🙏
Hey Anthony customs not sure if that's right but you should try making or doing a custom predator figure
You have great tastes in suits. Mark 3, Ultron, and Civil War are all the best suits. My vote is Civil War
I think my favourite armors are Mark7, The silver centurion (Iron Man 2), Homecoming (basically Civil War but with grey), and Endgame
Thanks.
Yes
Mark 43 is my favourite, basically everything with mark 42 but in proper red. I also like the mark 6 and mark 3, and the mark 46 is growing on me.
I know you're not super into Legends at the moment, but I think you need to take a look at Ironheart and the "What if...?" Doctor Strange Supreme. I'd go with the Mark 42 because of the yellow on it.
Iron Man Mark 3 is so dope😎🔥
You're the only reviewer I've seen that has pointed out how short the arms are probably because you pay close attention to anatomy. If the articulation was more fluid and it had a more deeper red paint job this figure would have been much better.

Mk7 is probably my favorite on screen,

My favorite suits: Mark 3, Mark 7 and Mark 4
It's actually very disappointing to be honest...

Happy to own it personally...its a cool figure with some very nit picky flaws.Great figure
My favourite keeps changing everyday. Today it's mk43 lol
My top three suits from the movies are. The Civil War suit. I think it was the Mark seven from the first avengers movie? And this one.
Well I like this iron man armor design than the mark 50 from infinity war it's the mark 3 that is superior for the most part
It's a great figure, but I 150% agree with you about the arms; they throw the proportions completely off. They aren't bulky enough and are too short. If they would have fixed this, we'd have the perfect Mark 3 Iron Man figure.
I've played the 1st iron man game from sega, so my favorite one is MK3
I like the "Prodigal Son" Mark 42 from Iron Man 3 movie.
Big Bad Toy Store email: ML Mark 3 Preorder Arrival Notice (YAY!)
Anthony: I got some bad news for ya... (dang it)
Iron Man mk42 is the best objectively followed by the MK6.

Would be cool to get a chrome mark 2 suit one day :D
Hulkbuster is my all time favorite movie suit
Let him be ,he has short arms like I do ! I was made with bad articulation as well I guess :(
My favorite would be the Endgame suit or the one he wore in the third movie.
Do you think youll ever do another updated smash bros collection now that smash has officially ended with sora
i might. i doubt smash is done though. too much money to be made. it outsells most of the games the characters come from.

Anthony you should check out the zd toys mark 3, is 7in, but the quality is something else, really great
Check out the ZD toys mark lll guys its an amazing figure and completely blows this out of the water, and it is relative in price to legends
If being compared to the Zd Toys version. The marvel legends look like a cheap kids toy 😂.
at the same time the Zd toys is more cheaper
I agree, but Legends collectors will not buy it because of the scale but comparing the two is like night and day.
Where do you see a ZD toys ones for $25 shipped?
@@TheMattTrakker in Malaysia I can get the Zd Toys IronMan Mark 7 ready stock at RM 85.00 shipped, while the Marvel Legends is RM 120.00 🙄
I like the mk 4 and mk 7 the most
His shoulders are small because this figure is film accurate. If you go back and rematch the 1st ironman mcu movie, his shoulder pads are particularly small.
This isn't accurate
My opinion war machine from iron man 2 and end game iron man armor
Mark 7 for sure!
Hasbro wants $40 for this figure here in Canada. GTFOH, Hasbro! Red plastic with crackhead arms, legs, and chest, with minimal paint? Not worth $40 or even $25…
Mark 3 and Mark 46 but this figure is great compare to the older release
My favorite is mark 2 iron man the silver one from movie 1 i hope they make a repaint of this figuer in silver :D
Now hasbro can do a MK 2 figure too
I really like the Mark 45.
really wish they used the Mk-85 and Thanos 2 pack Tony Stark face sculpt. This looks terrible.
Black widow iron man 2 is what I’m hope For
Nice I like your videos
Zd toys do a great iron man figure it's 7 inch scale tho
The silver mk 2 suit
The figure looks super weird in some poses because of the small arms. You can sort of hide it but man it really messes up the look.
mark 1, 3 and 7
Mark 7 hands down
MK VII in Avengers
i love you sir
0 hour gang
Agree bod looks weird
Lol he said 8 I guess NO 7
MK 85
When Ironman Was THICC
The arms really ruin the look for idle poses.
Give me the vanilla coke mk 43
its John Cena in a dumpy Ironman cosplay...it just looks odd.
ZD Toys Iron Man mk3 is way better!!!
Spaghetti
A slightly disappointing Iron Man figure..
Fire the design guy for this lazy and incorrect repainted figure
Glad I cancelled mine!!🤣🤣 meh all around.
