Oh I love the old book… The Trumpet of the Swan. It was My kids favorite book to read during their younger homeschooling years.
You should do book covers and sell them in your shoppe. And have it set up for people can come in and make their own. That would be cool!! Love you guys.

Thank you for taking me along. I waited all day for my daughter to get off work. We were on our way to Hobby Lobby and she wasn’t feeling well. Ya wanna go home? No, I’m alright just car sick... Bought 7 up pulled in the lot and she threw up in the parking lot. Soooo, needless to say we came back home. Poor thing she has a fever and hopefully not the flu. She’s 36 next week but they never get to old for Moms care. Anyway I needed the virtual outing thrifting...😛
Just seeing those, hopefully she’s on the mend!

I came to the comments to see if anyone mentioned The Joy of Cooking. Is that the book that has ALL the basics in it? I have it in the cupboard. I think I used to refer to it all the time when I was learning to cook. It was a gift from my mom!

I have the same Joy of Cooking Book! Mine is from the 70/s too! I chuckled when you went by all the clear glasses...and someone threw a pink spatula in there...changed their mind, I do that too! Back away from the clock Zeb! Hee heeeee.

I love when you do these videos! Our Habitat for Humanity is great. Always find good stuff there. I'm excited for tomorrow (Saturday) our local thrift store closed last month for renovations and they reopen tomorrow. Can't wait to see the changes. John & I always going thrifting when we're out and about. Whether it's down to Dagsboro area or up into PA we are always on the look out for a new thrift store to check out or a flea market.

That Joy of Cooking may be with some $$. Look and see :). I’m envious of the prices you all find stuff for. In my area prices are ridiculously high. The only thing I scored yesterday was a beautiful chalk religious figurine of Jesus for $3.00. Normally things start at $4.98 for anything here. It’s crazy! Well that just means I have to work harder but I opened my online shop and sold my first item!! Thanks for the encouragement guys!!

In SW Virginia it is VERY hard to find anything at thrift stores. If you do find something, the price might knock you down. I found a star shaped candle in a resin gold holder, there were several, maybe new, someone had put the plastic back on, sort of, $10 bucks each! There are people at each store that spend most of the day there. LOVE the gold mirrors.
We have people that we see every week that just hang out waiting for new stuff to come out.
Those snow covered mountains looked gorgeous! We don’t see that in Mississippi 😕

I just went to my Restore here in Anthem today! I hadn't been in awhile. The only thing I found was a NAU hoodie but I was happy because that's where my oldest is heading in the Fall!

Wow! Great prices at your Restore. Our local habitat for humanity is super expensive. I couldn't find a single piece of furniture for under $80. The lowest priced table & chairs (4 chairs) was $350.
Oooh that’s tough, our restore is very busy. I think if they didn’t sell it cheap they would get overloaded with donations.
The Joy of Cooking is a classic! That copy is in super good condition! I guess the owner didn't use it like I did. Mine is covered in cooking stains! You'll sell that for sure!
My favorite thrift store to buy is the Habitat Restores...I am doing my studio with their stuff.
They have good things there for building

I think it's hilarious that I am in Alabama and often see yall buying things that I have (great minds DO think alike😉) I have that exact same black mirror ( mine was actually gold when I bought it. I plan to paint white over & distress, the design is identical) AND I found 3 of the little wood people ? at a yardsale. I may need to check my garage to make sure my husband hasnt been shipping donations to your thrift stores😳😂 great thrifting today!
Tuesday I was thrifting at a Goodwill and thought of you two. There was a red Chinese man, I’m not sure if he was a Buddha (he was standing and not fat), and I thought, “Jamie would totally buy this and paint it Apothecary 🤪 !

Oh I like what I see so far! I finally made it to a Goodwill in Albany NY and it was a small one .....it was mostly clothing! No great finds for me!
