Drone Phantom 4 Oregon Alvord Desert Steens Mustangs

Eye in the Sky
A maiden voyage for our Phantom 4 Drone. We flew it around 1200 ft above one bachelor band as we didn't want to get it closer because we did not know their response to it, also flew it a little on the Steens summit, and a little on the east side of Steens on the Alvord desert. We chose not to fly it over the main South Steens herd as there was an injured foal. At this time we had only limited battery and being the first time were pretty conservative with it, just fledging the phantom .. and "testing it's wings". ;)
So spliced a few of those moments for this trip out, and added some images from the trip too. Comes in quite handy, this eye in the sky.

hurray for using those lil drone bots. i hate seeing people record them from helicopters like "oh watch them running so majestically into the sunset" aka running for their lives in panic while the loud terrifying helicopter noise is dubbed over with serene music, ugh. that's why i like your channel is you actually respect the horses and don't scare them just for dramatic shots.
