Watched this last night, no issues with Dolby Vision on my Sony player. This is one of my favorite 80s comedies and it still holds up well. Always felt like an R rated John Hughes movie to me, and it’s even set in Chicago (like all Hughes movies).
Just got mine in the mail yesterday. Looking forward to seeing this sometime over the weekend. It’s been years since I’ve given this one a watch but I gotta admit, I never tire of seeing Rebecca. She’s a beaut.
I originally had pre-order this on Amazon. However, with the B&N Criterion sale, I went & had my order canceled and ordered it through them. Its been years since I last seen it. So I watched the director's cut which had the alternate ending which made the movie a little darker which I did like little better than the original with a more softer ending
Thanks for checking the 4K disc on multiple players. I have a Panisonic player and noticed some glaring flickering starting around the 12 minute mark. Very disappointing.
I’m currently over an hour into the film and haven’t experienced any issues mentioned in the video. However, my Panasonic player is the 9000 series. Watching on a Sony A95L with Denon 4500 receiver.
Audio for Risky Business is an A.. sound good even when In The Air Tonight, I thought the drums were going to ruin my tv speakers... I did receive a mint disc luckily
Well, what Joey Pants did to a pregnant prostitute in The Sopranos is one of the worst things that I've seen on TV. It seems that Joey is really good at playing an evil Italian mobster.
I was very disappointed in the transfer quality and saw no substantial difference between this 4K and my blu-ray. The flicker appears on both of my 4K players even with Dolby Vision turned off.

I’m so grateful to have a 203.

Watched it last night, looked and sounded great, really nice to see this movie again, I don’t think I watched this in over 20 years

Do you have the Panasonic 9000 series?

Fun flick!

The flickering is not limited to Panasonic players. I have a Sony player and it was a glaring issue. Haven’t checked to see if it happens via HDR10.
Both cuts are on 4K, correct? Is there a difference in the picture quality between the theatrical cut 4K and director's cut 4K?
No they looked pretty much the same.
Hi Adam including the 1080p BR in this 4K set?????
Yes.
Is there a greater villain in history than Guido the killer pimp?

Joel, not Cole!!! 😊
You mean he’s not a racer in this? Lol, got my Cruise roles mixed up 😂

Is that the new Criterion Blu or the 2008 Blu?

@@davidjackson9148 Superb, thanks for letting me know as that is the copy I own. No need to upgrade then (except for HDR)
@AchtungEnglander if hdr has actually been applied I can't see it.
@@davidjackson9148 oh...really!
What the f*** and get this movie. LOL 😂😂
