I like how the final scene brings things full circle: After having gone all around the Galaxy, having faced down the forces of the Separatists, the Empire, and the First Order, we finally come back to Spaceport THX1138, safe and sound. And when we land, we finally get to see what happened to Ace, and it looks like he's not too happy about what's become of his ship. But anyway, thank you, Star Tours! It's been quite a ride!

I see alot of people talking about the order of this ride between all of the trilogies, it has been programed to which ever villan you see start you will get the trillogy they are from, this programing only happend recently
Thats not true at all. I live 20 minutes from WDW and riding it 5 times in a row we got jakku and crait all 5 times and our intros varied from vader to the falcon to kylo. At least in my experience thats how its been.
If i'm not mistaken, Galaxys Edge is full on canon, but its more of a Groundhog Day kinda thing, where each day is the same day, though different things happen. Its weird, i'll have to look further into it.

Now Disney is only focusing on the modern Star Wars versus the original three when it was first Premiered. It’s too bad because I was looking forward to the original characters and battles that the first Startours had.
It was actually in an episode of the cartoon Rebels, the exact ship, the old pilot droid (even voiced by the person who did it on the ride), even 3PO & R2 was on it. Wasn’t openly called ‘Star Tours’ in the show but fans who’d been on it knew right away.

The Dork Knight well considering the fact that R2 is with flying with Poe and C-3p0 on two different ships at the same time as well as Kylo being on a star destroyer and helping Rey defeat the emperor at the same time, I doubt there was much divulging of information between the ride and the team working on the movie so it might not be in the movie.
This is a Legends ride that takes place in 1 BBY, but features an elderly General Lando Calrissian who already knows R2-D2 and C-3PO before he would've met them on Bespin in The Empire Strikes Back. Maybe this is actually Lando's father/grandfather who happens to share the same name and also be played by Billy Dee Williams. Or perhaps Lando's original backstory about him being a clone actually isn't that far off.
The cabin fits 40 people. 8, 8, 7, 8 and 9 in the back row. Having seen it go through an entire cycle from below in the pit, it moves ALOT. Especially for how much weight it's moving so quickly. It's very much a wonder of engineering.
Anyone out there remember when Star Tours was about you being a tourist headed to meet the Ewoks on Endor? And then you accidentally were caught in between the Rebels and Empire having a massive dogfight in space and blew up the Deathstar? Good times.
