I don’t know what’s more horrifying: being taken back to the 90s when a fire safety jingle is catchy, or that a puppet with Gilbert Gottfried’s likeness is significantly distorted while emitting a soul piercing sound.
Worse if you have multiple detectors, the chirp isn't long enough to pinpoint and you end up going thru the whole damn house trying to figure out which one it is.

Well that "ungodly scream" was the real sound smoke alarms made in the 70's and early 80's used ! There is a chance of coming across a video of a real one sounding like that if you search for "old smoke alarm" or "vintage smoke alarm". Or for an even worse sound, "old Firex smoke alarm"

As for the sound, Seymour Smoke sounds like basically like any smoke alarm from the 70's/early 80's with the old high pitched horn, a good example is the First Alert SA76RS. There was also a (very) low pitched horn on old hardwired smoke alarms (a good example being the old Firex one, forgot the model)
