This was the original tone ring. But those first 100 had fitted bell bronze rings.. When I assembled it it was slip fit with no slop. Later the GF85 went to a lesser ring. This has been sold on to a new owner who said of all the Goldstars he has own this one was killer....
@@RicBergstrom I have a 2003 number 50 gf85. I love the tone of mine too. Not sure it's as bright and loud as the one in the video, but maybe just down to how I play it or set up a bit different.
