My grandmother died and I was not able to see, say thank you, how much I love her and sorry... Makes me cry a lot .. My her soul rest in peace and I know she's with our creator

Be not afraid and Eagle's Wings were sung at my Grandpa's funeral on the 8th of this month. Now I tear up whenever I hear them.

The music was always quite beautiful and easy to get lost in during mass. Probably the only thing that would ever make me consider attending a service ever again.
1st time I heard this song, I was on a Matt Talbot Retreat searching for recovery. I heard his voice many times in my madness, after this I know that I (small i) will go....thanks God and Matt Talbot.

a beautiful and comforting song. I have three grade school age children and am very sick. I fear for them. this song reminds me that they will not be alone, that God goes with them .
This is always a difficult time of the year for me. My three sons are all born between October and November. My son and daughter who died at birth were also born in November. Their mother who died eight years ago also had her birthday in November. It gets better with passing of years and decades. When the dark clouds come over as they did as from nowhere tonight, I can come and listen to these three songs and feel all safe and around me.
To my daughter ALELI..on her 8th death anniversary...YOU will never be forgotten! Love you!!!!

I have always loved these songs. better than any modern song.
The hardest part when someone, like your grandmother passes away is not seeing them and saying the things that we feel we needed to say. but do you know, if you had of been there and said face to face with your grandmother " I love you, I thank you for all you have done for me and that you are sorry for times when you made mistakes in you life" Now if you listen to your heart you will hear your grandmother answer you. Hold your memories close to you heart as she will always be with you. SMILE x

Lovely song about eagles and how the Lord will lift you up praise be to the Lord my favourite Bible verse is John 3 verse 16 for God so loved the world and gave his Beggoton son that who believes shall not perish but have everlasting life amen

I just can't stop listening to this. My daughter is suffering from hep c and also facing jail time and thi is such a comfort.
I'm using my fiance's account, and when my former mother in law passed away, she had this song at her funeral Mass and had me sing this as a solo. it was so difficult for me to do this without chocking on the tears. i truly loved her and she loved me. She was more than a mother in law, she was a mom and good friend. She passed away in 2000, and i couldn't even listen to the whole song, because i couldn't stop crying. Happy Easter every one. Richard, God Bless You and comfort You . I know that it is hard to let go. Today 7-26-16 is the 3rd anniversary of My Wifes passing . All three of these hymns were played at Her Funeral . I still have a hard time listening to these three although I do like them very much. My Wife was an extremely avid advocate for Birds of Prey and actually rescued a couple of Birds one of which She had to turn in to a local Raptor center. so " On Eagles Wings " has special hidden meaning's for Me and those Who knew My Wife well.. Here we are on Easter Sunday, 2020 - during the Corona Virus quarantine. Catholic churches are empty, but some, like my parish, did Masses online with only a priest, deacon, 1 alter server, and a lector. I'm so pleased to find 3 of my favorite hymns together. God bless the soul of Jean Danilowicz, your tribute has brought her prayers over these past 8 years.
I hope it makes it easier to know that your not alone, I lost my Dad when I was only 17, and I still miss him to this day. Hope this helps to know your not alone. Time will help to heal the pain. Take care.

I lost mine a year and half ago and to this day I still cry when I hear/listen to them as I have arranged to have these songs sang at his resurrection mass here in San Francisco. I, together with my brother and our church's chorale sang these songs in his honor. So I know the feeling.
