Thanks for watching!
I love your work and the detail that you put into it. I had so much fun with the New 52 and Year One reading order and I’m So excited for Superman reading order!
Thanks! It's going to be big - over 1000 issues - and will also cover every Universe wide DC event from 1991-2011 (hundreds more issues).
Hopefully it'll be ready before the end of the year... A lot of reading involved!
In a similar vein to Hush, the story Batman Dead Reckoning-which was coming out in Detective Comics when Hush was in the main Batman title, sadly overshadowing it-is a fantastic and underrated story. Comparing it to Hush, a story I see as having fantastic art on top of weak writing, it’s kind of the inverse of that. It’s Brubaker writing Batman, and somehow DC never collected it. Nevertheless, it’s a story I’d highly recommend.
I was completely unaware of this but will definitely check it out!
I don't read Azzarello usually because it seems everything he does includes anti-Christian/atheistic/borderline Satanic messaging (off the top of my head Damned and Broken City were extremely heavy on this stuff.) And I'm not particularly sensitive about that type of thing, I enjoy Spawn, Hellboy, various Moore and Morison magical comics, etc. I love how Jim Lee drew superman in Superman Unlimited with Scott Snyder, I'm going to check this out and hope Azzarello didn't try to fit messages that don't really fit Superman in the story.
Good point - there is a lot of Judeo-Christian stuff in this story as I recall...
@@iamthomasjudge not surprised. I already have this on my shelf reading backlog (saw it for like $8 shipped from Half Price Books) so I am going to end up reading and if Azzarello really couldn't help himself in a Superman comic just skip the text and enjoy the Jim Lee artwork.
