It's the 6th Week of this LOW SPEND PANTRY CHALLENGE and I'm continuing on, looking for BUDGET MEAL IDEAS, trying new recipe suggestions and using up old or less popular items in my pantry! I still had some help in the kitchen this week making my helper's classic meals like chili and spaghetti! What meals does the NON-COOKER in your HOUSEHOLD make?! I'd love to hear some easy to prep recipes :) Let me know in the comments below!
This might have been the most unique combo of recipes I've seen in your videos! I love how you're so open to trying new things in these challenges. As a kid I remember my mom buying banana ketchup but we only ate it with certain foods. I think its common in filipino food? Not going to lie, with how often you were saying the word banana in this video I was tempted to turn it into a drinking game 😂
So. Many. Bananas. LOL I'd play that game haha I'm so glad you enjoyed the various experiments! I think everything turned out pretty good actually! :D Maybe more bananas!
What an eclectic mix of recipes this week! Everything from classic to ethnic. A true trip around the work, right in your own kitchen. And you even took the family along for the ride. Love it!!! One of my easiest meals is to make flat breads. I usually make them with naan or pita bread, BBQ or Buffalo wing sauce (mixed with ranch dressing, to cut the heat) as the base sauce, grated cheese (whatever i have on hand, like cheddar, havarti mozzarella, etc) and whatever else suites our fancy that we have hanging around. Possible toppings include leftover cooked chicken, feta cheese, bacon bits, ham, leftover steak, spinch, onion, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, pinapple, etc. Mix and match to your preference! Great for kids or picky eaters (like me) as each flat bread can easily be topped with what each person likes.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video Rhonda! It was a really great week even though I was a bit tired! The guys had fun doing some cooking too :) Great idea about the flat breads! So easy and versatile! :D
I'm surprised you didn't add some of the lentils to your chili...sometimes I do that if I make vegetarian chili. I'm going to try that pasta strawberry breakfast! 😆
I cranberry applesauce this fall. I used one 8 oz jar with 8 oz cream cheese,1 cup sweetener, teaspoon vanilla and dash cinnamon. Blend. Great as dip or frosting
Yes, Sorry! I grow them in the garden. There are a lot of different varieties "Cranberry beans, named for their striking cranberry-coloured markings, are also known as romano or borlotti beans."

You can make a lovely red lentil curry as well. We love it.

In Hungary we eat as well sweet pasta. Ie: pasta with ground walnut and powdered sugar. Try it and you will like it. :)
Ohh that sounds wonderful too! Thank you for the suggestion!
Great job thanks for letting your creative side be seen lolol 🤣
Thanks so much! I love being creative with the pantry and finding new ways to use what I have! 😄

Sounds wonderful! I've never made cranberry applesauce....only the two separately before! I bet it would make a great frosting, for sure!
I absolutely adore your sugar bowl!
Thanks, I found it at a dollar store a few years ago! I think they are meant to bake little things in but I just love it as a sugar bowl :D
Replace with orzo, yum!
Yes! That would be fabulous!
Or rice
Oh my that’s one pinky meal. I’ve never heard or try that.
Was it EVER pink! I love that someone said it would be good for Valentine's Day! It was very good, just adjust the sugar to taste!
Interesting ideas. 💚🩷❤️💙🧡🦋🦋🦋
It was a fun week of new recipe ideas, for sure! :)
You're pretty brave trying out all those new "strange" recipes
You just never know when you’ll find something amazing! They’re only new to me so they aren’t so weird to the people who eat them 🤷♀️🧡
Makaron z truskawkami, bravo! :D
It was very good! :D
@@JessicaWanders It's something usually children would eat, in older times:) it sounds so nostalgic to me when you mentiond this dish:))
@ That’s so cool! It’s one of things I love about food: the nostalgia of recipes! 🧡
What is a cranberry bean? Did you grow it? (I will google what it is, but I claim I've never heard of those!)
