chris sprenger To be honest with you I have suspected for some time that there is some skullduggery with subscriptions on youtube. I've noticed people with a half million subscribers that have only been up an running for six months, and others that are as good or better that have been active for years and only have 5,000 subscribers or less. My guess would be paying a third party to have bot subscribers or Chinese firms that have literally millions of people that can "like and subscribe" for a fee. It all goes to show that this medium is smoke and mirrors and built upon nothing.
I got everything sorted because of his video, it’s been over two months and he just replied to my comment again asking for help, just to follow up and make sure everything is ok... I’m so impressed! This guy is amazing !

After 45 minutes with an Xfinity/Comcast rep and getting nowhere, I searched on RUclips for a possible fix for a box with no signal. I didn’t have any faith the steps in this video would solve anything. I was wrong, you definitely provided the solution. Thanks a million!
Do I have to change the coax cable when starting with xfinity? I had WOW & I don’t have any cable plugs. Just wires coming up through my floor from my basement. I don’t want to even try to tackle changing them.

So, I really appreciate your calm demeaner. You don't rush. You really take time and you respect your listener, or your viewer. I actually really appreciate your terms like "small box" and "big box." I've got a Boarding House with 12 cabled rooms who all lost channels and got pixilated. Found the main box (that got disconnected when the guy moved out), reconnected it, and BAM, everything's back to normal. Great video on the most obvious problem.
Such success yesterday, followed by catastrophe today. I decided to move the box to another location that is more accessible to management. When it was moved, it didn't work; all TVs reverted back to the way things were. No problem, I just hooked it up again in the room it came out of. Now it doesn't work there anymore. Any suggestions on recovering the house order? I have 12 boxes.
@@EvanPepperhouse No such luck, it's the first thing I checked. Then I secured the connection coming in from the wall. I just wonder if it created a backup of the previous configuration before deleting it.?
It is mandatory to have a strong uncorrupted cable signal to the "Main Cable box" .It is trying to connect. If the signal is already split prematurely, before ending at the destination, inside the box, then some channels will produce the blue screen effect. House holds with miscellaneous accessories e.g. play stations plus more than one xfinity cable boxes can cause this blue screen. The "Main Box" has to be the main source, free from splitters and what have you. Some technicians will ignore and put the main box as to compensate as a secondary receiver. This is done because most of these Main boxes have both "old school" plus HDMI cables at the back side, just to hook up your OLD TV to new age HDMI or "other" at the back. The main box will work but guess what, blue screen on some channels will happen. I have issues with some channels but I go around it by blindly changing the channel off the blue screen and press enter. Unhook power...I prefer network...digits on
@@EvanPepperhouse Take note. Poor signal to some T.V. (s) equals "blue screen" (mine). Do not give up. Keep switching channels and press enter power/ off again on until the Cable hits one. ☝ channel. Are you an employee of xfinity? Did they pay you to repair their system? You rent the boxes but are expected to preform resets and diognostics for them. Something is wrong here.
I have no error code but my screen is frozen and the words WELOME in English Spanish and French. I can't even get out of this screen to go into a menu.
I was having issues (errors) with just one channel (CNN) giving me errors. I do not have a big (router) box, just the one TV top box. I used to have additional boxes in other rooms so signal was splitting via coax a few times. I went to a wireless Roku signal for the other TVs and CNN worked just fine there (via stream app). I traced it to an old splitter that was splitting signal 4 ways and sending it to dead/unused cable wires at each bedroom. To resolve, I removed the 4 way splitter, and installed a 2 way only (with no open terminals), at the correct frequency. The main wire enters splitter, One goes to my modem and the other to the one TV with the Comcast box shown in this video. There are no additional unused wires going to the other rooms. This improved the signal strength (no extra splitting) and brought back CNN on the main TV box. I was able to cancel my tech appointment a day before they even got here
I tried unplugging the small box, then the big box, I continue to sometimes have pixalations and freezing. I've reported it to Xfinity, and sometimes their higher tier support does something on their end and it works fine for a few months, then the problem comes back. So annoying, all the do is schedule appointments for techs to come out, who come and say there is no problem with the equipment and to just chat with support. Any more advanced tips?
All good tips here. Assuming your signal strength is good from the line-hung amp (the thing on the pole 15 ft up) to the interface at the house (typically a ground block), it is up to the homeowner to make sure signal is distributed appropriately. In larger homes with multiple splits a drop amp is much better than using 3dB splitters anywhere. Comcast has a threshold for signal up to where the drop hits the house. The rest is on you. One common problem not often mentioned is the unreliability of the 5 V power supplies provided with comcast DTA's and X1 boxes. I have had 3 of these go bad in the past 5 years. When they don't provide steady 5 V the box will give problems including reboots and connection issues which look just like signal strength issues or noise ingress. In fact, I have had tech support tell me during a live chat that I had a noisy line. After checking my coax, etc., I replaced the power supply (the black box which plugs into the wall). This fixed everything. Point is comcast can't tell when the 5V is going bad. Anytime I swap an X1 box at the Xfinity store I never return the power supply with it. That way I have some backups at home. You can get them on ebay and amazon too, but typically you pay $20 for a $2 item. And, similarly, anytime you swap a comcast/xfinity box with a new one, make sure you use the new power supply that came with it.
I had to get a new cable box because the button on the old one got jammed. After setting up the new box I got the rdk code that the cables needed to be tightened. I followed your instructions and swapped the cables and still can't get the new box to connect.

However after having the cables replaced to my house, having the cables replaced in my house all by xfinity services. My problem's remain. Tap the pause button then wait for it to pause, and wait. The shows I do want to see don't seem to play and it tells you to check back later. Purchased movies stall and glitch on playback. If I call and complain they are HAPPY to give me a 20$ break on my bill. I have to call every month! Their internet works really good is the reason I keep them. If that starts failing, I'm moving on.
I have the same problem with the router cable box. Have gotten 3 since 1/24/22. Tech changed all cables & outside box. Finally worked but started to have issues a few days ago, and now it's dead in the water. All other tvs are fine. Now they want to send another tech. Any thoughts on fixing the issue? Error code is RDK-03004 on TV. Router box says I P56, I think.
I don't know how many times I had to trouble shoot the X1 DVR (large box) or the X1 Xi3 or XiD (small box) when I worked at a call center ServiCom (which had Comcast contracts). We got a LOT of the RDK and XRE error codes when customers called in. While sometimes I could help with the RDK codes, a lot of times I couldn't as the signal was just to weak (or a signal issue to the main box). A lot of the XRE error codes, I usually had to transfer them to Tier 2 or Tier 3 tech support as they had more tools than I had. I remember sometimes going back to a previous custom's account to see if the issue was resolved and looking at the notes, a lot of times it was signal issues to the house (not always but many times). Either that or a bad box. Working at the call center for 2 years was a nightmare (not due to customers but the staff that ran it, making it a toxic work environment).
I have personally reached out to tech support. Maybe this will calm things down. I know that you asked me assortment of questions first about how things are hooked/ situated etc. I already went through lists of questions. Take note. Not all TV's get uniform frequency signals. Some get "weak" signal AKA error. Some get "Blue" screen (mine). Same goes to Poor signal to some Tech flat screens. My point is get us / suggest that we switch channels as explained on my previous comment. Preferably "favourite watched", just to quicken the Problem solving time laps. It is the time spent questiining that is golden
My tv shows 'no signal' every morning. I need to unplug power source, reinstall and then let the TV boot up. Box has been replaced twice, as well as the cables. Xfinity just keeps remotely trying to fix the issue and when it boots up after unplugging they assume the issue is resolved - just to start all over again the next morning. Any idea why this is happening and how to resolve it?
I have a comcast emerson sdtv and I am experiencing the same issue, I have a cable box but no router and my tv just comes up simply as “The video signal has been interrupted” what should i do?
Do you unplug the little box, then unplug the big one, and then connect the big one and then the lil one? -or can you leave the little one plugged in and just unplug the bigger one, reconnect ?
Usually unplugging the bigger one fixes it. If not, unplug the big one and small one, then plug the big one back in, wait a few minutes, then plug the small one in.

If I call and complain they are HAPPY to give me a 20$ break on my bill. I have to call every month! Their internet works really good is the reason I keep them. If that starts failing, I'm moving on.
Also, did a soft and hard reset to my other smaller boxes but to no avail.
Omg thank you ☺️
Nice video, however; I have had issue with the X1 box but the rest are working ok. lol ;) What are your thoughts there?
Same problem. Replaced X1 box and it doesn’t solve problem. Xfinity tech support couldn’t help.
How many x1 boxes do you have in total, just one?
Oh, I wasn't in any way questioning you at all. I know it can sometimes be a simple RF related issues.
I have personally reached out to tech support. Maybe this will calm things down. I know that you asked me assortment of questions first about how things are hooked/ situated etc. I already went through lists of questions.
It is mandatory to have a strong un-corrupted cable signal to the "Main Cable box" . It is trying to connect.
Unhook power...I prefer network...digits on
Thanks so much for the tip!!!!
Happy to help!
TV issue
Nice
You made me look like a genius
I have a comcast emerson sdtv and I am experiencing the same issue, I have a cable box but no router and my tv just comes up simply as “The video signal has been interrupted” what should i do?
My box works fine but some channels don't have full screen. How do I get full screen?
My tv says no signal and the box color is light blue what should i do
Worked. Thanks.
Evan Pepperhouse thanks a lot dude ! Even if it doesn’t work and I have to call Shaw, you have my sub and like 😁 cheers brother- and thanks for replying so fast!! Your the man 😁
You're welcome! I'm just playing Playstation with my laptop open and noticed the notification of your comment right away. That should work. Another thing is ensuring the coaxial cable on the big box is plugged in properly to where it says 'cable in'
Evan Pepperhouse I did 😬-Thanks a lot for all the help, and a huge thanks for following up!! - it’s going to be awesome seeing your channel grow, and I’ll support you the whole way 😊 cheers dude, keep it up 👌👌
Thank you sir
yo entiendo, mucho gracias.
All my TV’s will have the RDK-03033 code at intermittent times. I will try the 30 second re-boot on the main box. Maybe I did not have it unplugged long enough. So very annoying. I have had Comcast out here several times in the past couple of years, and it is still not resolved. Ugh!
Evan Pepperhouse That’s what I was afraid of. I guess I better watch all my recordings before I go get another one, and see what happens. Thank you!

Take note. Poor signal to some T.V. equals "blue screen" (mine). Do not give up. Keep switching channels and press enter power/ off again on until the Cable hits one. ☝ channel. Obviously I could only know that I succeeded if I see a familiar T.V. channel pop up after reboot process is complete.
Small tv box this is a DTA platform box. For this box you don’t need main cable box
Its work thanks
Ok but my big box what u had at the end is what’s having the issue😂
Hello..I don't know what can I do , the new Xfinity box don't turn off with my TV..still on the blue light..thanks if you help me..
I just got a new x1 gateway router but after hooking up tv gets xre 00250.. tried unplugging
Small box is working, main box is not
Just got the small box to go in another room. Stuck on pink screen with “30306” error. Connections are correct. Did this trick and no dice. Any suggestions? Xfinity CS is abysmal.
Tnx for the tutorial
RDK errors are hardware/physical connection errors. XRE errors are software based.

I'm having a problem with my Xfinity XiD-C cable box. I can no longer pause, rewind, or fast-forward with this box. I keep getting the following error code. XRE-00272
Hi bob, contact their chat support or call them.
RDK-10000 on the smaller box with blue light power on.
tv is stuck on Select Your Language. I pressed the language I want and nothing happens.
I tried these suggestions didn't work. I get it on the stream. Used to unplug everything and when it updates the cable comes back. Now if I can catch it before and skip update I'm good. If not it will come back the next update. Xfinity stream works on some smart TVs and u get the same content that you subscribe to.

Half of the time the person doesn't understand what you're talking about plus you're on hold with a robot so to speak as you practally scream in their ear to put a live person on also you're without TV until a tech can come to your home and pay a service fee of 100 or more
You're so cute Pete in palm Beach
Reset main box! Holey fuck.
