- Another color hack, for Super Mario Land this time. Pretty much perfect aside from the infrequent glitchy/discolored tile.

Super Mario Land Colour by Spikeman & crew.
Although I'm more familiar with the original green Game Boy version, this still gives me the same nostalgic feeling. Why must childhood come to an end? I hate being an adult and not having these kinds of simple pleasures I once had as a child.
If you aren’t familiar with the real version how does this one give you the same nostalgic feelings???
@@judethaddeus9856 I only played the colored version once or twice. In contrast, I played the original version so many times. Thus, I'm more familiar with the original version. But, it's the same exact game...thus, it gives me the same nostalgia. Does that make sense to you?
Nice would it be possible to replace the white sky with a light blue and make the inside of the pyramids a light tan or a yellow color?

It kinda looks closer to vanilla than the DX variant, it looks closer to what I imagined.

You can purchase that on ebay although the mario sprite is swapped for a more chunky version. Both this and the dx are available on ebay for 10 bucks each, along with SML2 dx which is even better
You need to work on your gameplay beforehand, take your time to avoid obstacles like little goombas, turtles, spiders etc most importantly don’t rush, we appreciate the upload, nostalgia comes to mind when I think of this game.

How does it look when played on the Gameboy Color?
nowhere near as colorful as the hack in the video. Since it was a GB game, the GBC/Super Game Boy only allowed a preset of 4 colors.
You can purchase the rom on a cartridge along with the weird dx version and sml2 dx on ebay for like 10 bucks.
I'd say, while he had a tough time in some of the levels, he did better than I could've. I played the original B&W version, and got my Game Over by 3-2. I will say Good Job to this player.
He’s definitely better than me. He beat the game without the continue, while I beat the game as well, I had to use a Continue after getting a Game Over at World 4. I got 100K points before the Game Over so I could continue.
I wish they would make a new game of this with new levels an same graphics

It turns out they couldnt implement the physics from the nes mario at the time...so they decided to be different from the nes games

No, this is on emulator, but I don't remember if this is on VBA or BGB. This looks different compared to playing it on Super Gameboy
