Just a little comment, on my previous model a builds I would cut the rear fender well and add a strip to kind of forming a mini tub. Otherwise when setting up the car in a lowered position the tires will rub on the backside. Check out the firewalls from Direct Sheetmetal it will give you a starting point for what you need, weather you make the modifications or purchase one.
    Keep the videos coming

Hot Rod was the only way to go. It took about fourteen years off and on but now she's all done we are having fun. I had guys telling me I ruined a good car but we don't worry about them. Weld a piece of flat metal to the cut off ends of the crossmember and make it long enough to hang down below, then figure out where that cut off piece needs to go and weld it to the flat piece that hangs down, and add gussets between the flat pieces and tubing. That is what I had expected you to do, but maybe there are reasons that wouldn't work?

I flipping love it. And you should put that 77 body on that old chassis and cruise it at least once. That would be considered a hot rod to. Might could even call it invertered with the modern body on the old chassis. But can't wait to see a big smokey burn out pulling out of the shop!!!!!! 😂😂

You're not ruining it, you're fixing it. You had to chop it apart to find the rust, now it's better than ever.

I was torn in the beginning but It's looking so good glad you left the body alone. So far I LIKE IT.

Starting with a clean car. Not a bad plan. Im sticking with fixing old junk and making drivers. Mind you up here in Manitoba the pickins are mighty slim.

      Hey, a fellow Manitoban.
Yeah, anything that mint up here would probably be double the price.
