The hip hop heads who actually understand hip hop on a deeper level past its regions (e.g. if all you know is NY shit, you're not gonna get the Based God), they love Lil B. Some might not fuck with his sense of humor. I get that. But if you can understand that you're listening to a clown, you'll find Lil B's stuff hilarious and endearing.
I miss this era of the internet. Tail end of the blog era going into the early 2010s. It was a fun time in hip hop.

love lil b on the 9th wonder beats..if you really listen to his lyrics he drops alot of knowledge about how the internet is changing us as people...you listen to something like wonton soup and you realize its all part of the same message, but listening to 9th talk about it i realize basedgod is really good at trying to unite the knowledge conscious 9th stuff, and the oakland go dumb shit (like trolling with the i'm gay album but really the lyrics are really deep and serious, like talking about the media's portrayal of black people)

He's overall a positive dude with nothing but good intentions. Sorry, but hip hop purists really need to stop taking hip hop so seriously and lighten up for once. Just my 2 cents.

You should check him out, he usually makes music about bullying, depression and other cool topics people can relate to. You would love it I promise.

I dig this but 9th got it wrong when he thought Lil B was jokin with songs like wonton soup. Its just a side of his persona that likes this stuff and does this stuff. Whats great about Lil B is he does whatever the fucj he wants. If he feels like talkin about not goin to star bucks cause there aint no girls there, he does it. If he feels like talkin about slappin bitches he does it... If he feels like talking about homelessnes he does it. Hes not trolling or doin it for attention (especially "Im gay"... that wasnt a marketing move. He is gay as in happy and even stated he chose this title in respect of the gay community who want to restore the original meanong of gax so its not a curse word anymore).

As far as the "parody" part, 9th is just saying that the Lil B songs that people call "stupid" is a parody, it's a game. It's him trolling people. Getting views, and getting his name out there because people still dig it even though they hate on it. BUT at the same time, Lil B is dope, he does have records, he does have legit rhymes and what not. He is doing his own thing, which consists of whatever he wants it to be. His own unique joint. 9th isn't dissin Lil B in this.
