First off I was really hoping you watched this movie & gave a review!!! So happy to see you did! Secondly I lowkey feel like your review needs a part 2 because I don’t feel like you touched on the ending a lot. I feel like the racial subverts & undertones were obvious. I was reading a fb post about Ruth (the daughter) and ppls theories were that she was actually the smartest character in the movie because she was the only one who saw and mentioned the deer being weird and questioned why. She was the only one who noticed the house that she ended up at. Yes GH was equipped and somewhat prepared but that house was end of the world ready! Which leaves the questions, where was that family?? Why didn’t Ruth tell her family about it? -all this to say, I enjoyed the movie but I wasn’t a fan of the ending because it seemed anticlimactic.

Friends was set in New York and had no black people in it - well Aisha Taylor was the only featured black character - that’s what Ruth was mentioning
