5 years ago ..,I bought my first dream car..a 2016 488 GTB..I had to wait to be way over 50.!!!.and it's a keeper, i will never sell it to upgrade especially since I drove the dealer's F8 for two days..first it's too far away from my price range now...but if I compare it to my GTB ,I can't find where the huge price gap is in term of driving pleasure (on my level)..it's really a Ferrari for rich speculators..,always worried about how many miles/kms they put on the car ,this F8 Tributo is too much for people who really drive their cars..!! ,and you're completely correct with those strange noises coming from an obvious default in the general assembly of the interior ,I truly believe that 'specs' are fantastic for whom can afford them (just outrageous prices for some options) when it comes to specific carbon bits & interior details ,but I chose my car because it was the simplest interior that was coming at the time ,NO 'specs' just the most simple black 'stock' interior same for the seats (first price..!)..the special seats were somehow awful & not comfy at all (carbon whatever..!!) and I feel that my car was better 'put' together and built than a full on 'speced' car. .and I recommend Sport Proxes TOYO tires / TR1,they are just great tires and priced...the Michelin cup tires are over rated (i think) and can take 'days' to warm-up in cold/wet weather ,I put winters on ,since I drive my Ferrari as a daily all year around in the Alps so a protection film is a must ,I did a Daytona black wrap Pista style).

We will be left with cars that will do it but without any human interaction, the driver will become nothing more than a passenger.

I currently own a 987.2 Cayman R since new and drive it with great enjoyment around tight mountain roads with 59,000 miles on the odometer. Not sure on the fun factor with the longer wheelbase or electric steering in the F8 when compared to the Cayman R. Not sure all the F8 power would be useable on tight curves?

These reviews of utterly irrelevant fantasy cars always amuse me. I love the way the reviewers talk about them as if the cars were actually important in some way. I happened to see a couple of these types of cars on the road in the past few days and the thing that struck me was just how extraordinarily wide they are. They literally fill the whole of the side of the carriageway of most B roads. Must be a constant sweat driving one on crowded and or narrow roads. Nonetheless they do look truly sensational in the flesh.

I can’t get over those huge banners of license plates they make you guys put on your cars! Why is that? Surely they could make them a touch smaller.

How do you miss a tractor 🤣 surely people pop out slightly check what’s coming then build speed and go around? Or maybe not everyone has that much sense lol

Can't they widen the roads? There's no where to breakdown. It does remind me of Magnum PI

Is it just me, that I can’t even begin to admire the F8, let alone like it?!
Compared to 458/488 the styling seems over-fussy. I’d take one of these over it any time….

Now I see where Lotus got their inspiration for the fussy looking Emira.

The 296 should have been called "The Dino" its time for Ferrari to drop their complicated number scheme of the last 20 years and get back to defined cars, with historic names.

They got the name from the engine 2.9 liter 6 cylinder = 296
I woulda loved Dino namesake back though!

It's not a fashionable thing to say about Ferrari, but not just in photos, also in video I think this looks designed by committee and a mess (by Ferrari standards). Also awkwardly large from some angles. You mentioned the rear, actually rear 3/4 I don't mind. I like the 488 Pista front 1/4, this looks like that's been toned down and blended with 458. But I've not seen an F8 in person.

Jay, can you make a video debunking the myth about carbon fiber? I know for a fact that the decorative stuff isn't that expensive to make, so why do customers pay those absurd prices?

Actually is it worth buying any today's 'superçar right now in this enginering crisis and development? I mean electric, hybrid and normal combustion with or without turbo's - envirimental politics infused madness. Besides the technology 'progress' going 'fast' the current car on the market maybe outdated in a few years for that big money. Or in a few year maybe H2 cells are atractive . Because how does the worldwide every parkinglot has its own charger hold up if we go electric and who and how are we pay for it?
Is this not the time to buy a classic old or young timer you always wanted to have now you still have the chance to drive them.
