Those are underbody vortex generators, they guide airflow to increase downforce by creating a "vacuum effect" underneath the car which in return reduces body lift. These help in keeping the car planted to the ground during corners and at high speeds. You typically find these in race cars, but Ferrari implements them in their road cars as well.

I watched the video and was just surprised at the ferrari prices, the seat and all these lines together will turn out better than the Italian line in Russia, and no joke, the quality will be much better, I don’t know why
How's Matt gona say with a straight face that this is better than an sf90? What makes it better? Fuel economy? Emissions? Like that matters with a super car,the sf90 is still on another level of performance
Only a few years back, every car maker said that 100g of emission was an impossible target.
1) f8 2) MC20 3) gtb 4) artura 5) huracan/r8.. (but I think I am going 458 for my next one).
I’m 53. I reckon buying 15 fiesta’s and throwing them away as soon as they come up for a service. I think 15 would probably last enough time to prevent the need for ever having to use a garage again before it’s time for me to hang up my keys. If I happened to be left with a couple I would probably just sign off with the world record holder for the longest donut!
Run the accel/decel tests on a prepped track and sticky Michelins and you’ll discover quicker/shorter results…
True with any vehicle
People under estimating the 296. The car is a killer. I've had many cars cost twice as much, hard to come close to this beast.
Great looking. Great performance. Unforgivable interior. Since I'm inside a car more than looking at it, this would be at the bottom of the Ferrari list for me.
Go and driven one, and you will change your mind.
Looks like a Lancia Stratos from the side.
The face is a bit bland compared to the F8 but the rear 3/4 is a great nod to the 246.
Daughter & her hubby were in Maranello at the Ferrari factory last weekend. They were speccing his new 296 GTB. He is trading in his F8 Tributo that he has had for less than a year. He & the daughter are in agreement with you, both saying that it is currently the best Ferrari available, in fact now the daughter is wanting to chop in her California T against a GTS but I think she may have to wait a while!
Can't be done. Order books have been closed since late May. Unless their dealer has an allocation they can get from someone else, not much can be done get get an extra order in.
The Android Auto problem is probably a glitch. The Purosangue and F8 Tributo both support it and I think officially Ferrari said the 296 supports it.
Rather have the hurucan tecnica. Much more refined system, doesn’t have weird ass buttons that are unresponsive.
I think that's the best sounding V6 engine of 2023, i can't believe it sounds nearly as good as a Ferrari v12 engine ❤🎉
I’m French and I just love how this man reviews cars through his comments 😂 keep going 😌🙏🏽
You should do a rolling race between two plug in hybrids where you start in electric only mode, and on go, bring in the ICE
The combustion engine alone produces more power than the lambo huracan tecnica engine. and that is a 5.2-litre engine, this is almost half that. I guess it uses the extra space just to sound better
What’s the point when the teams plays does the same thing for 1/3 Price? And it’s motors last 500k miles no maintenance.
Companies just need to STOP with the touch sensitive fake buttons in the interior phase. Let's go back to physical buttons. We're driving cars not smart phones.
This car is almost perfect. Sounds so good, but i don’t think it’s that loud (i think we have to listen it in real life to have an idea). And I love the design.
Any Ferrari is good,as long as they’re under 20.000$,don’t care about hp,fancy this, and special that, okay 20 is cheap,
I’ll go to 29.999.........too low? All right,an even 30.000!
What are the broken/bent looking pieces seen at the underbody at 0:50? Why can't they build proper flat underbodies to protect the car?
Those are underbody vortex generators, they guide airflow to increase downforce by creating a "vacuum effect" underneath the car which in return reduces body lift. These help in keeping the car planted to the ground during corners and at high speeds. You typically find these in race cars, but Ferrari implements them in their road cars as well.
Hi Carwow, I was just wondering why when I tried to sell my car through you I wasn't offered the service you are promoting here and instead I was told to agree a minimum reserve price and then the car would be sold through an auction? Was just disappointing to be told to look at motorway as an alternative...
It's an ok car for me.
I don't like the look of that big opening over the engine area
I'd rather the cheaper better looking lotus emira
