I remember when i started in the hobby last year thinking "haha, silly Meli with 700 rx-78's, there's no variety there" and now here i am with like 12 unicorns
I'm 46 years old an got my 1st gunpla for my bday in june, an HG gundam perfect strike freedom. I absolutely loved the process of building it. I went same day an got the HG gundam ground urban combat type...just finished him last night. I cant wait to continue building my collection. I cant believe it took me this long to discover gunpla models!!!
I'm 27 and same.. got a gunpla for my bday and spent an evening building him... totally hooked.
I started getting into gunpla lately after watching some of the first Mobile Suit Gundam show and I'm so happy to see another woman who is into this! As someone who's into MTG and Warhammer too, it seems a little rare sometimes lol. Your channel is awesome!

Thanks for showing us your lineups of RX-78-2 collections. I remember most of your kits when it first aired on your RUclips channel, and I was " Oh, I know that one, that one I remember when she introduced the world's blackest paint, and that big RX I watched its live stream build."
This was the reason I subscribed to this channel a couple of years ago. A girl who is a Gunpla enthusiast. At first, back then I was skeptic but then after following this channel, I noticed that Gunpla meli's collections are mostly RX-78-2. And she is a fan of Char. Then she was also exposed to Gundam Wing back in the days. In which was my main reason for being a Gunpla builder: Gundam Wing, and the Universal Century saga.

Wow! That's a huge collection! I love the rare possible kits! I have an RX-78-2 Master Grade Series 10th Anniversary Edition still in the box. It was a limited run produced in 2005 and it is in "Victory Ceremony Celebration Colors" (the white, orange, and red color scheme of a GM). I haven't found another one like it. It's my favorite collector's item.
The RX-78-2 has and probably alway will be my favorite gundam. Such an amazing collection you have there!!!!
rx-78 is my first gundam i bought entry grade in early 2021 its fun making gunpla even i dont watch gundam series

OG RX-78 is and always will be the GOAT, followed closely by the RX-93 of course. That 1/12 scale geez, that's the crown jewel!
If you are looking for a really nice and kinda unusual RX78 model, look for the One Year War version. There are two versions of it. One which is dusty and one which is clean. But bith look like they have spent their life in the desert.
That gundam base exclusive one is kinda special. Its the RX78 from the old Perfect Gundam kit, without all the Perfect Gundam armour and weapons.
I have every 1/100 RX78 in my backlog. 1.0 1.5 2.0 perfect gundam core, one year war, 3.0, origins version, f00, verka etc etc etc. Each version is unique and special in its own way

That's such a good collection of them! There're a lot of really cool one but of course nothing beats Granddaddy Gundam. Would you consider doing a Zaku collection video sometime?

Cool collection Meli, I got a suggestion for you about your custom painted black RX-78, try getting a can of Krylon Matt finish to protect the paint, try it first on a spoon already painted black to see if there's any after effect 😀
I like the Krylon Matt acrylic rattle can (1311) and use it on a lot of models. I agree to test on a spoon or something first.
I need to get my hands on the new perfect grade Gundam. Looks so cool and detailed 😭
Cool video Meli! Just an fyi, the G40 is a decent kit but some parts like the toes and torso area is a bit flimsy out of box or after a few poses. But mainly on the torso so I’d recommend maybe top coating it entirely so that all the joints are solid and secure. But I like it 😁👍

My backlog continues to grow as I continue to purchase more of the Titan/ Advance of Zeta and Rider/Destiny series. It is that small era that catches me more than later eras of the UC timeline.
You got a nice collection of RX-78-2. I got that mega sides RX-78-2 a couple of years ago still need to be put together and paint up. I also recently finished swordfish 2 from cowboy bebop and got the RX-78F00 not to long ago that need to paint up to I pay a bit for him but i say the price will go up on him later as they removed the one in Japan next year. Also still waiting on metal gear rex next on the list

The unknown RX78 G3 is indeed a Master Grade, it's based on the first Master Grade ever released actually, it's the 1.0 version.
Yes! Loved this Video. I’ve been collecting Grand Daddy Special Eddition kits to do a build off from the most basic to the Perfect Grade unleashed.
So far I have the following in the cue for my Grand Daddy build off. I’m just missing a Mega Size.

Don't worry. I got a limited edition clear SD Zaku-II..... For like forty dollars. Also they had Hello Kitty Zaku and Gundam. I think I missed out on that Gundam base RX-72-2. I'll be honest, I like Zaku's, but Doms are my favorite, any variant really. I even got a special coating Char version from 2013.... I did not get it that year. Metal fix figuration are the best, expensive yet sturdy

I never had much interest in the RX-78-2 until after recently watching all the Origin films and Char's Counterattack. I will get one at some point.

the red gundam is from a game "Giren no Yabou" in PS2 and PSP. i have the metal build version.
I have the revive, EG, and Mega-Size. Only other ones I want are the Beyond Global, G40, Origins(HG and MG), and the PGU. Unless I can somehow get the 1/12, but fat chance of that!

A bit off topic- I had no idea 7-11 was such a thing outside of the US. I work for an e-commerce company and for Taiwan customers we offer the option of home delivery or in-store pickup at 7-11.
Growing up, I just knew them as the place to get a slurpee.

I'm also collecting different vers of Rx but I settled in HG's coz they are fkin expensive! Also collecting different scales/grade of RX my mag is the jumbo grade, only one missing in my collection is the speed grade it is really hard to find.
