I had the first old TDX SP, and used it primarily for work (Firestone, Sears Auto). Admittedly, this was a rugged and harsh work environment. I did 5-7 miles a day for seven years in that chair. The 'waterfall' armrests were loose on delivery, the center mount footplate came 'crooked' and remained that way as the vendor stated, "it's within acceptable tolerances". It was a rattle-trap that was embarrassing to go into the Mall for lunch in. It rode hard, there's little to no suspension except the tire tread depth. Still, mine kept on chugging and died on a passing Junk Collecter's truck. I see the same power chair in the TDX SP 2 -Total Driving Experience (TDX). Invacare sells 'The Mariner' commode chair, too, which suggest a shower and a sh** in any weather - a puney and dangerous commode! I was given a choice of three power chairs as my vendor was the only vendor to work with my insurance. He said, "I won't sell you a Permobil because we don't make any money...Quantum, Invacare or the new ROVI. I asked if they dealt with Sunrise Medical...I'm sitting in a Quickie qm710 and this is the most comfortable and dependable power chair I've experienced in 38 yrs, short an Omega Trac I use occasionally. Permobil, I have a '14 C500, has nothing over on, or better than, this qm710 mid-wheel drive I've been enjoying for two months and one hundred miles. Suggest trying your three favorites on test drives, looking for what you wish for from your choices. My vendor has sold three Quickie qm710's since I got mine. He'd not sold a Quickie for three years prior. He shared various weaknesses, he's observed, on the four Brands he first offered. Hmm.

I agree. I spent 6 month in hospital because my tdx sp2 bought 3 years ago had a suspension issue. I always had some but this time it nearly killed me... I only had my femur and a tooth broken (hopefully?)... Don't buy invacare its junk. All these chairs are designed and built by ***king valid people (not disabled) w*f? And what did I see on "invacare's new flagship" video ? These mtfckers had their comments disabled! This is tremendous! Revolting!
      Shame on them!!

Marco Lafargue my sp2 has been perfect since day one. I have not had any issues and it is 2 years old. Quantum is by far the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen and Quickie’s have always notoriously had suspension issues. Not sure who programmed and delivered your chair but I would blame them because mine has been perfect. Goes through all terrains, healed all my pressure sores and has been fine on 10 miles average drive daily.

@@countrykindaguy366 I could not agree with you more. Quickie QM 710 just outright sucks for me! My SP has lasted over 13 years. And I put that thing through hell. You name it, snow, rain and extreme heat. Now time to upgrade to the SP2 and it performs much better than the quickie. Would not touch a Permobil. Not saying that the Quickie is not good for other people just not for me.

I’m finally getting this chair in a couple of months as my current one has been deemed as too costly in repairs. Not sure how I’ll cope with the most basic version but it’s a welcome improvement and have tested 2 so far. It will be my 3rd Invacare powerchair and my 5th powerchair overall.

will it be acceptable on airlines?? some airlines have change their dimension sizes that will allow for wheelchair users??

Hazel B You need to look for folding lightweight electric wheelchairs. I recommend the Jazzy Passport (called iGo+ in Europe) I recently took this on a plane no problem. You need to remove the battery and take it with you as hand luggage while your chair is stored in the hold. You also need to be able to instruct ground and cabin staff how to fold and unfold it etc.

i have one four months old, not taking a charge to battery..any help?

healthyamerican I would contact your provider who supplied the chair. This power wheelchair has LiNX capability to diagnose your batteries remotely through the MyLiNX app. Check it out and if they can’t solve the problem, a local rep in the area can get that all taken care of!

Too bad jazzy doesn't have all the colors and 4 brush motors.,and the footplate does not keep your foot from falling off plate going around corner

the TDX tilt forward and the back wheel goes up and it won't climb 3 inches with shutting off, the wheel get stuck if there is pot hole the front and back wheels are too thin they need to be a bit broader
