Yo Swerve! love the song and it should go without saying but I'm a big fan. I'm saying that first so you know this is coming from a place of love.
I think the video could've been executed better. I think the concept was fire. Doing a one take style video (that appeared to have some edits stitched in behind the exposure blurs) and having the subtle changes throughout the set is awesome. Very reminiscent of Gambino's 3005 video.
The problem was the camera. Not sure if it was 1080 or 4K but cropping in that close caused a big loss in resolution. There were also several moments of soft focus. I won't complain about lip sync being off at times, thats to be expected when shooting 1 angle and trying not to do edits. But your director of photography should have caught that.
Btw... I watched on a TV so it's more apparent, May not look as bad on tablet or phone sized screens.
Just so you know, I'm an actor, director and filmmaker out of NYC. I do stuff like this for a living. So just giving some constructive criticism. I want to see you win whether it's in music or the squared circle. And yes I was pissed at Chicago for backing The Acclaimed instead of you and Lee lol I can't have my boy out here looking any kind of way! Lol
But other than that it was crazy. The track is crazy and charisma off the charts as always. See you at Arthur Ashe, I got my tickets already.
