Great video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching that. You do well to land fish, keep an eye on the camera, talk and contend with the weather and tide… good effort. And who says we men cant multi task! 🎣
Another very enjoyable episode. Great you don't edit out the more disappointing bits which we all endure! More very mixed weather ahead it seems. Westerlies setting in for a bit. Lets hope the later season brings better opportunities and calmer waters. All the best.
Thanks for the feedback Gareth, much appreciated. Yes, let’s hope some settled weather coincides with the really good fishing months of late summer into autumn!👍👍🎣🎣
Great vid's very well explained. is it possible to make one on how you would asses what is stupid or acceptably on sea state, and how you would handle your boat in choppy water
Thanks for asking. This is a tricky one because my channel is what I do in my area with my boat. This is quite specific and unique and everyone will have different circumstances. I wouldn’t want to put a video out which might me misconstrued as a ‘how to do boating’ video and someone with less experience or in a very different area got into difficulty. Boats are very different, areas are very different and even personal choice of boaters can be very different - in identical conditions some people would choose to grit their teeth, put the hammer down and blast over a chop, others might throttle back and plough though at slow speed. I don’t know but I’m assuming you’re new or fairly new to boating. If so I would suggest just staying in your comfort zone, don’t go too far out, don’t go out in conditions that you’re not happy with. Do this and as your confidence and experience grows, your comfort zone will get wider. Hope that helps and happy and safe boating! 👍👍🎣🎣
I did the same as you and went out on Friday meaning I left home at 4.30 am and now due to weather not taking the boat to salcombe this week Boating is great when you can do it, which this season has not been much Great video as usual
Great video again well done. Will be down at Hope Cove with a small rib not to far from you was wondering if you fish around near there as well or am I better starting from Salcome way as I don’t normally go to far from shore Many thanks
Thank you! I don’t fish around Hope Cove but I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun close inshore. Should be mackerel, pollock, wrasse and bass without going far out. Salcombe might be worth a go if the wind stays in the west and you can’t get out from Hope but towing a boat on that road in the summer is not a lot of fun! Good luck 👍👍🎣🥲
I enjoy watching your stuff, but disappointed that you don't wear a life jacket. People watch your stuff and learn from you, more safe practices need to be encouraged.
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you like the videos. I have a full explanation of my views about life jackets in a previous episode which I’ll link here for you. Please have a look and let me know what you think. 👍 ruclips.net/video/TeY6514pKQ0/видео.htmlsi=HKIZYKuYX342iX2Z

Two questions
Are u into motorbikes ?
Are you a plumber ?
Bit random I know
Thanks for watching! I like bikes and have a full license but haven’t ridden for many years & no, not a plumber? 🤣👍🎣🎣
Great bass Rob!
Thanks Bri, they took some finding but worth it in the end!
Another great video mate. Looks like a good day. What bay are you stopped in at 46:50? Always on the lookout for sheltered spots to stop off at!
Thanks mate. It’s Starehole Bay that I’m tucked into at the end. 👍👍🎣🎣
Super stuff😀
Thanks for watching👍👍🎣🎣

Where is your life jacket.
Alone on a boat , not a good message to give out
