I live in Hawaii and am very drawn to the Azores. We are 8 islands in the middle of the Pacific and Azores is 9 islands in the middle of the Atlantic. I love immersing myself in different cultures. Love your choice of music too and how we can hear the bird song and the stillness of nature. You are a talented film maker!

I was born there but came to canada with my parents when i was very young. I feel / understand all the great things you describe about this little rock in the middle of the Atlantic. The place I liked (from the pictures, at least) is in Povoacao, which is where you stayed. What you showed looks amazing. Can't wait to go there and feel the place on my skin... That other island you spotted in the distance is Santa Maria where my mom was born. My dad was born on Sao Miguel. I love visiting the Azores, incredibly beautiful and peaceful.

Atlantis 😍 I spent 6 weeks there from late November to early January and was surprised of how mild the climate is, especially at night when it is much warmer than the main land. Swam in the ocean almost every day in crystal clear water and enjoying the excellent sea food. Highly recommended. Where you there during spring time?

I was born in this island and things are much busier over there now. The roads are not that quiet as you see in the video. Lots of cars from locals and tourists. I think that the bus system will stay the same because the buses are almost empty these days.

I do not like oatmeal, but i eat sometime :-) most of your shots are well exposed, and composed, and your words are without empty words ! I apriciate you are having a tripod, (or you find the natural tripods well :-)
The mind can quiet down in nature. and when it does, and we are experiencing an increasing sense of serenity and peacefulness, you begin to become aware of things that you’ve been distracted from for a long time, the real important things, the essential things. You don’t need another chemical to get to a place of tranquility peace and oneness and a clear sense of direction. You simply meditate in nature, and you will be filled with feelings and thoughts that are key to increased consciousness.
Looks like your living the dream on this absolutely stunning island and far away from the rat race of the big cities. All the best with continuing to stretch and develop yourself!
Yes I agree they're fantastic. I think dalmation islands prices have risen though, and for me this region doesn't have as good a safety profile as the remote Azores archipelago
@@LauraLoncaric why? croatian islands are more touristic, and too hot, or not ? :) I was on Sao Miguel month and plan to explore other Islands too ( Pico, Flores,..)
@@casio007 It's simply because croatian islands feel like home to me since i lived on one my whole life (and still do), but who knows, maybe i'll change my mind 🤷♀️ yes they're very turistic, but only during the summer :)

So I walked from Povoacao to Furnas (road for cars) and then I climbed Pico do Ferro. I used an app called "Mapy". If you download it you'll see a lot of paths marked with red, that's mostly where I walked :)
are u from new bedford ma. i think we went to school togather my mother is from pico. it would be nice if some one with money went there and started somthing its the perfect place to bc there is no competitiion and can give jobs and hope for other to start somthing. thats the only prob

Hiking in nature is my happy place. It looks like I could hike every day for the rest of my life on São Miguel. I am on my way!
