SBI are not really developers, they're consultants. They tell the people that actually create the games how to be woke enough to get more funding.
Well most of them aren't worth playing as it is. The gameplay tends to be generic and boring, the story tends to be entirely a waste of time not even funny enough to keep you interested, and the tone tends to be all over the place. Because they aren't making games meant to be played but political essays with an art twist. They aren't meant to be fun, interesting, or even thought provoking, just telling you what they think and what they want people to thinnk.

I’m a black man and I play games to escape. I don’t self-insert myself into characters. I don’t want a reminder of what is happening in the world with politics, right and left.I imagine myself as the Watcher or Monitor from Marvel/DC. I watch and play. Woke used to be about saying there is racism, but now these morons, time after time, go way to far to the point where they become toxic. Anybody can be racist, prejudice. Hatred keeps rising and they wonder why everyone won’t buy their game. If you make it for the select few you won’t get the results. It’s supposed to be for many. Thank you! We play games for fun. I also enjoy a big helping of hot characters. I like that in my movies too. If I want mediocre looking people I can just walk around town. There is no lack of that in my life. I would not even put myself in a movie or game. I am specifically going to buy a PS5 and probably only play Stellar Blade on it. The way I only play Halo on XBox.
Remember 90s and early 2000s when people were getting away from this, and people looked at characters and people and just saw the overall not a specific singular one note aspect... oh and the styles.. like bring back frosted tips and w/e those outfits were over what current trends are.
Developers/creators/companies should be able to make their game however they want (black, white, green, alien, realistic, cartoony etc). They however lose the plot as soon as they start trying to censor and impede others because they don’t align with the ideology.
Microsoft has no place to be coming out warning anyone about making females curvy for instance. These people are deranged and power hungry. Bill Gates seems to think because he has money it’s the equivalent to being an elected public official.

The good thing about gamers....Almost everyone of us has probably an immense backlog of games or an Mmorpg that we could "replay" endlessly while those woke companys flood the market with their shitty games nobody cares about. We've had at least 7+ years of people with psychological disorders about their self-image that have entered the game industry in publishing or development attempting to change it completely to suite their personal activism or feel better for seeing themselves as "ugly" and want games to represent their identity and world view - not being a good fun game or an escape for why we have entertainment. This was never going to work and was doomed to failure, nobody was going to pay hard earned money to be force fed modern day politically correct messaging aka DEI, nor androgynous flat bodied ugly characters.

I’ve had a good story in my head that would make a good game, and I’d like to actually make the character creation acknowledge differences in sex in a positive way, that essentially grants buffs. Example, for females:
1. Increased Stamina: can “sprint longer” before becoming an exhausted.
2. Smaller Frame: 5% increased chance to dodge, smaller hit box.
3. Steady hands: increased accuracy for long range weapons.
Males:
1. Muscle Striation: 30% base increase to strength
2: Bone Density: can fall from greater distances before suffering “fall damage”.
3: Lung Capacity: increased burst damage, 5% increased chance to critical strike with melee weapons.
Shit like that. Hell I don’t care rip me off, I don’t have the skills to make a game, just ideas and project management skills experience, but I’d be happy to see a game that does something like this, I think the added element of realism would be neat to see how it effects class decisions.

In Phantasy Star Online, stats were determined by the combination of Class, Race, and Gender. For example the "HUmar" was the Hunter, Human, Male option while "RAcaseal" was the Ranger, Android, Female option. Each one had different stat spreads and their weapon combos were different making some weapon types better or worse, a common one being that large swords were better for male Hunters and partisans better for females, just because of the combo animations. So depending on the kind of playstyle you were looking for, picking a male or female character or a certain race would actually matter a lot. But here's the thing: None of them were objectively bad, just specialized to different roles. Want to have huge attack power? Pick the HUcast (Hunter, Android, Male). Want to have your lower-tier spells hit like a truck? Pick a FOnewearl (Force, Newman, Female).

That's funny, I prefer to play male V so I can look at and play a cool, handsome guy for a few hours 😂 in most games I find myself playing more male than female characters. But I'm not playing videogames to see myself.

Didn’t they try a “Final Purge” in the 1940s? That didn’t end well.
What's crazy is it doesn't take a lot to be inclusive. If you have a game with a character creation system, perfect. If you don't force a narrative for "inclusion" but have characters be themselves in a sense that allows the story to not be forced; perfect. It's not hard and it's been done well for almost 20 years in games when it needs to be. Could be wrong, might be even longer. Point is you don't have to make it an announcement when it serves no purpose to the story. If you want LGBTQI+, add those characters but don't force the need to OUT them. Respect your story and characters as you'd respect a real person. Race is the same. Keep it contextually relevant. Its so damn simple. It's clear these people have no idea what they're even fighting for, if they're even fighting for inclusion

Only male vs female difference I can think of is Resident Evil:
Chris is physically strong but carries less with different skills from Jill (Chris can kill with the knife, Jill could pick locks). The characters were different but both are fun.
That’s why all of their games, movies and tv shows tank. They sign contracts for a minimum of 2 seasons. The first season flops hard, but a 2nd season is made and releases then flips harder. Look at Supergirl. It started out somewhat cringe, but had a good fun story. By season 4 it was starting to lose their audience…so they double down hard with a trans female superhero. The audience evaporated, but they forced a 6th season and it flopped hard. Why, you might ask? I actually specifically played as an Elite for a very simple reason and tactic. I was the runner. I would purposely make myself seen and get shot at, then run back towards my team so they could ambush anyone pursuing me and destroy them. One thing people don't realize is you can't headshot an Elite from the back, as their head is obscured and hangs lower than a Spartan's. Thus running away makes it very difficult to kill them.
I was so good at this that I had other teams begging me to join them. Gosh, those were the good days.

My favourite ever arcade style game is SSX Tricky on PS2. I got every gold with every (diverse) character. My character preference for racing or freestyle was entirely determined by their trick moves, board type & playing characteristics - or being bored with the "chat" from the character I had been using. SSX Tricky had great voice actors (golden era for console offline gaming IMO). The black female character was voiced by Macey Gray and was cool. Nobody needed a DEI consultant to build that game and it was epic. The industry is dragging a giant activist anchor that it pays to make games cringe and less popular. Crazy times.
