The fact that Days Gone 2 was canceled because Sony listened to non-sense about the Deacon being "too white" is so annoying. I really enjoyed Days Gone and was hoping for sequel would be made. As a gamer who just happens to be black, I seriously didn't have a problem with Deacon being white and thought the actor who portrayed him (Sam Witwer) did a great job. Matter of fact, and not to stereotype, it made the most sense for Deacon to be white because most bikers in the United States are in fact white men.
Days gone didn't do well because of different reasons than that I swear corporations will see a massive board of complaints and then see one lil sticky note in the bottom left and go yes this is what we really have to focus on because it's yellow!
For me, I swear I think people don't appreciate games that aren't woke, no wonder I am seeing them buy worst games for "contents". There is many reasons but yeah. I think Days Gone is great I may buy it soon but I got a backlog full of games I wanna play.

Recently I started going through the walking Dead telltale series again. One thing that didn't strike me the first time I played it was that the majority of the main characters in that game are not white. And yet I never found myself wishing that they were. That game is still amazing. In fact Lee Everett was written so well that I don't think they could have came up with a better character for the first season. That's just one example of how it has nothing to do with race, and more with the fact that the games that they work on are just complete and utter dog shit

I can't say any of season 1's characters are bad, all are flawed in true ways. I liked season 2 as well, it's season 4 i'm not a huge fan of, maybe because it's more focused around kids.

Here's the thing though. The game devs for the most part are doing what they are told from management as dev studios are controlled by the publishers that own them. Management tell them to do whatever the "marketing" and "sales" people think will make them the most money and what the ISG money propaganda fund wants. And what the ISG wants is for SBI and BGG to "consult" on how the games should be. It's all backwards with the actual people that design and probably play games having no say in the whole process. At that point the talented devs leave and start an indie studio making awesome games while the original studios became an empty shell that can create nothing of value.
And the irony of these woke lunatics is that the Hogwarts game had more tokens than British people. I liked the game, but diverse Hogwarts was so weird.
Nah turn it around on them. It's OLD Hogwarts so it's the height of the British Empire. The diverse students are colonials being sent to Hogwarts to become good British people instead of their cultural magic schools. The heads of Rocksteady weren't great managers, and I am pretty sure they left before SBI involvement. I would bet the main problem was WB micromanagement and pressure to make a Live Service game, they probably had to wait a certain time to get their payday or had to wait to be ready to launch the new studio.

Please take a look at Elder Scrolls online if you haven't already. I have played ES games since way back when Morrowind came out. I also have been an ESO plus subscription member since it was first released. I have really noticed over the past year how "woke" has crept in to fully dominate that game and the entire ES franchise. I had some inkling that the industry trend was at play, but since this whole Sweet Baby thing I didn't realize how invasive and detrimental it really was. This sickening corruption has ruined my favorite franchise, but I can't bring myself to cancel my subscription even though I don't play it that much anymore so I guess I am part of the problem.
It's not a "group" Melissa. It's people like me, that don't have social media, that don't give a fcuk about any online BS, have a prestigious job, and like to play video games occasionally, in their free time. And when people like me notice the divisive tactics handed down from the billionaire elites, to the sociopathic narcissists that cheerily take them up and infest "easy" jobs in popular media...we don't like it. The fact that it ruins games is almost secondary. But it sure is extra annoying. I may not be able to stop Divide and Conquer at the federal level, nor stop my local DA from taking Soros money (as he says on video, not even secret), but I sure as heck can vote with my wallet and support developers that won't ruin the few hours of relaxation I get a week.
