Having the game come through the perspective of a 16 year old boy adds so much to the fear factor, atleast for me. Like I know physical strength is never usually important in horror but the idea of this LITERAL CHILD being at the mercy of the demon is unsettling

I often see it as a good thing that sprinting isn’t an option in certain horror games. Because if there’s no option to sprint, chances are you won’t be chased through a hallway or something similar, unless it’s by something that be outwalked.
It is kind of comforting, especially in horror games. It’s always horrible when they say “press (x button) to sprint” because then you *know* something is wrong. And most of the time, it’s something chasing you. Terrifying.
Ah you can walk slightly faster is this game and there is a couple times where you’re expected to run away
