It's refreshing to see a build on RUclips that's not polished and over $100k..
I appreciate the time you take out of your busy life to post these vids. I tip my hat to you sir!
i guess mtod isnt working out xD
Its how he makes a living...
@@johndowe7003 just look at the projects hes doing at the momment, clevocamando, lsr car, f bomb rebuild, alloy bigblock for the crusher, the hot rod, ect, ect hes gotta be spending more than mtod would be paying
@@Dlawler i aint interested like i used to be before they sold out
@@Stackali it is, 2 months after its been released on mtod premium the episodes are released for free on mtod
I wish it was the 90s so I could pick one up for 1500...
Tell me about it. I bought a mint '84 CJ7 with 108k in '99 for $1750. Sold it a year later for $2k. Probably would be worth 18-20k today in that condition.
i wish it were the '90s so i had some of my hair back...
Quadrajet, favorite off road carb says the guy with the Thermoquad T shirt! ; )
Dude.... this Jeep has always been one of my all-time favorite rigs, right up there with Sid Hormans "florescent camo K5". I was a subscriber back when you built this thing, and just about wore out every issue that that featured articles on it. Thanks for sharing, and a very heartfelt thanks for all those great articles over the years!! P.s..... I don't think you "ruined" a Scrambler. This thing is waaaay bitchin'!
I'm not a big 4x4 guy but can totally appreciate all the work that's been done to this jeep. I bet all the off road guys were drooling. I am however a big Freiburger/Roadkill fan. Love your work Dave, keep 'em coming!
I love this build. We need to see more of this wheeling. Brush off the dust and take that thing out.
Thank you for the video, David. I've always admired your Scrambler. It was cool to get a quick tour of it with the specs.
One of the best builds!!! Sick!! Old school kickass!!
Awesome rig, Freiburger! Thanks for letting us peek at it.
Thanks for taking the time for these great clips!
I think it’s rad! I love the CJ8’s. Cool to see someone trimming one up a bit
Thing is a beast...really enjoy the Jeep videos ...keep em coming...always well done and informed with detail...
I cut this article out of the magazine back when it came out because I thought it was the coolest build ever and some how it has traveled through my whole life with me. I thought I’d never see this Jeep again if I remember I thought it had some postal Jeep parts as well thanks for sharing brings back great memories. I’ll have to look around to see if I can find the pages I cut out if I still have them.
Yesss finally a scrambler cj8 video
I bought one 5 months ago for 2500. 81 scrambler Laredo pkg with full hard top. I’ve been watching a crap load of videos to get ideas on lifts etc.. head is about to explode. Lol. Great vid
I remember this when it was stock bodied and black in Peterson's 4wheel and Offroad. I faithfully followed along with the build articles in the magazine and even got a subscription so as not to miss anything.
It was a test mule in many articles. I always liked it because of the psuedo military styling and solid design.
However, by far my favorite Jeep from that era was Rick Pewe' (not sure of the correct spelling) flatfender '42 Ford GPW.
What a great era for offroad enthusiasts the 90's where. Tons of stock based, low buck, home brew builds back then.
I was wheeling my '84 Toyota PU then. 35s on chevy moded leaf springs and a custom ladder bar that was inspired by David's Scrambler.
Glad to see she's still alive and well, unlike my Toyota. Sold it long ago.
This thing is frigging awesome and and I like that its a 90s build. All suspension no coil overs
I love the scrambler and the superbee. I bought both shirts. This made me want to buy a scrambler but my dad talked me out of it at 19.
Oh my God please let me have that Scrambler!!!! ! I love that thing! it is beautiful! It is a work of art! Great job keep it up
I remember reading the magazines when this was being built. This and the Clampy Toyota are some of the coolest builds. Maybe it’s the faded ODG. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice video. David has had so many cars throughout the years, but I love the fact that he identifies himself as a "Jeep Guy".
awesome getting your son involved. hes pretty good with the camera too!
Love the videos. Gives me inspiration for my car.
Awesome video! Love every inch of that jeep
Listening to this dude rn
Thanks for the tour of your jeep very cool and most capable and no chrome that part I like a lot.
New SHIRT!!!! that Jeep is amazing.. I wish I owned it!
You were very ahead of times when building this jeep ,probably max out a couple credit cards but a very well built machine,I got read about in the offroad magazine I like your idea on how to shorten the body it looks perfect good job,...😎✌
i like the folded papers in the headlight im guessing to keep from rattling 👍
Awesome! I love this kind of content.
Keep the Jeep videos coming!!!
Beautiful jeep man
Funny you posted this when you did. The very day I took my 2000 grand cherokee on a trail shortly after a 900 mile trip to Colorado. Then just drove it back yesterday. Nearly no issues. Though more surprisingly, this was also the very day I started looking for a scrambler to buy. Haven't found one yet but we'll see. Almost decided to find a jeep pickup but my brother already has a j2000. Gotta be a bit unique somehow. Wish me luck!
Thanks, David
That thing is cool.
Well put together.
Thanks Dave your a champion!!!!!!!!
Man I love some frieberger work!!!
Oh David...I thought maybe, just maybe this would be one for the fans. Well that lasted a minute and thirty nine seconds :) but mostly you wanted to give us details... yeah.
I remember reeding the magazine when you built it and its great that you still have the old girl.
That is a well built Jeep, heavy frame and all.
That rear spring shackle can be fixed by welding a piece of steel tubing onto the bottom of the frame a couple inches back. Use it as the bushing for the shackle bolt. If you’re feeling frisky you can even tap it for a grease zerk. Now *that’s* some high-class modification right there. 💣
Very cool rig!
Man I love that scrambler! Only thing I'd change is coilovers
I have an 81 Scrambler that I bought in the fall of 99. I only paid a measly $1500 for it way back then. This winter it’ll be getting remodeled with tons and the Cummins r2.8.
Also I remember your son from his cameo in dirt everyday with Fred. A coworker & I are big fans. We jokingly quote your son by referring to red as wed and we often follow up saying wed with its got a fwat tiyah.
Skookum rig... thanks for the show !
I am digging it!
I remember the issue of 4wheel when they rattle canned this army green!
That thing is badass!
I miss my '84 CJ7. I owned it for nine-years, beat the crud out of it, rebuilt everything as stuff wore out, and sold it in 2002 for $250 less than what I originally paid for it. I am blown away by how much the things are selling for today.
needs to get back on the trail ASAP!
That jeep is so awesome!!! If you need a place to keep I would be glad to make room in my garage!!!!
*How does this have no views?? Freiburger is a mad genius with this stuff!*
It was posted 10 minutes ago, smart guy.
@PunchingMegaTree pretty obviously responding to the other guy. Go back to your safe space, snowflake.
Said before, will keep on saying it, "Jeep Freiburger is the best Freiburger"
Looks awesome
Miss you!!!
Thank you!
This heep rules!
I thought it was awesome in roadkill garage, cool to see a more in-depth look at it here!
I’m also surprised that a mechanical fan won’t overheat at idle in the summer.
Usually at low speed is where electric fans do best vs mechanical fan on the highway pulling grades are more efficient at moving air.
Great Jeep!
Your jeep scrambler is pretty epic
Thanks
Ah yes the glory days of 4wheeling!!!!! I miss those days! Tellico Damn sure do miss it!!!😓😓
I like it.....wish I still had my "69" Bronco Half-Cab Sport
Best jeep ever..😎✌
That's what I call a real JEEP. 👍🏾
That thing is awesome...
I like everything about it
Ive always admired this Jeep. Never realized it had the short front clip.
So much awesome! I want that jeep
Sweet Jeep
Pretty badass!
Awesome!!
Dear david please make a video about the ram v10 and the 46 cj2a and the barn find 66 buick that cars its very special to me everytime i watching your 46 jeep episode i want one day a jeep and a v10 dodge ram
Daniel Cruz....I've got a 49 Cj-2a that I'd sell to the right person, not necessarily the right price, because the right person to me is more important.....
When you built it, I decided to build my early cj5... I still have it
And still looks just as good as it was 20years ago.
Let's see it get refreshed and run ultimate adventure
This is what Jeep dreams are made of...
Very nice Mr. Freiburger, thank you for sharing.
Hey Freiburger glad to see you posted something and I'm really digging your Trail capable Jeep
The best part of this video is the smog gray thermoquad t-short 😎
Dude! Get that thing on an episode! 🙏🏼
Badass jeep 👍🏼
dude that shirt, the thermoquad is making a comeback now that it has its own shirt
DAVID I'M WATCHING YOU BOY
I love this thing
When my dad bought a brand new CJ-6 in 1967 complete with the Buick V-6 Kaiser put in. It had the longer 101 inch wheel base. People couldn't understand why he bought such a long Jeep, but the ride was so much smoother and with all of our coolers and supplies we used camping it was ideal. The guy who bought our CJ-6 from my dad in 1972 made into a pick up like a Scrambler. I haven't ever seen another Jeep CJ-6 ever again.
Would love to own this rig
Dig it man
It’s just so typical that even though you built this amazing and unique Jeep, there will still be people bagging on you about it- “You just built a CJ7 out of a scrambler.”
This thing is awesome. Thanks for posting this.
that thing is truly apocalypse-ready
I was wondering why you would not do the front shackle swap again? I'm in the planning stage of a CJ 7 build right now and a new Throttle Down Customs frame with the shackle swap built in, is a consideration. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
lol i bought some more t shirts from your website yesterday i just ordered the f bomb wheelies on dirt shirt lmao --- got the crusher camero, and the super bee a few weeks back and i absolutely love them shirts great quality and just a nice shirt to wear keep up the great work :)
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing love it question is when will we see it in action again? :)
I'd love to see this in another episode of roadkill garage
I notice you are not sweating your ass off like we are in Phx right now. Sweet rig bro 👍
Freidburger scrambler...that sounds like a DAMN good breakfast dish
Cj8 nice..... miss my ‘78 cj7
I would love to see you on ultimate adventure with that! Also how do you like those Maxxis Trepador? Tire review video?
FriesBurger is the antagonistic from the films 13 cameras and 14 cameras
Nice
Not outboarded, did you narrow the front D60?
That cool I like old Jeep
