    Ok so i’m 12 years old and i’ve been crocheting for about a month now, the only thing i know how to make is a little flower and a mini heart,
    Ive been searching on how to make granny squares, coasters and none of them were helping me
    But i came across this video and i finally made a coaster after many tutorials and this was on my first try!
    and i LOVE the way you didn’t cut video to finish around the coaster and you did around without any cuts! Like other tutorials they finish with cutting the video because it takes alot of time ❤ (And i notice im quite late to this video 😅)
    Thank you Jewel💝💝

    When you use the slipstitch to close the first round, do you go under the two loops of the third chain or just one?

  • @kimcup5000
    @kimcup5000 5 лет назад

    Hi. I'm a beginner and I like how close you are to the camera and you don't go too fast BUT, you don't always say when you have yarned over and it was confusing until I figured it out. For example, you say, "Go through the hole" without stating that you have yarned over before you actually went into the hole etc. That would have made it less frustrating to figure out. I hope you do more videos for beginners but please make sure you mention everything you are doing - even if it seems obvious to you. It would really help! Thanks!

    • @ninjabudgie5235
      @ninjabudgie5235 4 года назад

      I think the reason you may have found this confusing is that the video uses US crochet terminology. For the US, what is a triple crochet for people in the UK is a double for people in the US- and hence you would always yarn over for double crochet in a video following US terminology.

    I am learning this pattern but I have a problem. On the second round I keep coming out with only 14 DC instead of 16. I have started from scratch three times and still have the same issue. it doesn't appear that I am missing any spaces. Please help

    • @CrochetJewel
      @CrochetJewel  7 лет назад +1

      +hmmm I'm not sure why but here's the pattern, Rnd 1: chain 6, sl st to form a ring,ch 3, (counts as dc), work 15 dc in the ring, sl st on top of the chain 3 -16 dc
      Rnd 2: ch 3, (counts as dc), dc in the next, *ch 2, dc in the next two dc, *Repeat Around, sl st -16 dc
      Rnd 3. sl st into the ch 2 space, ch 3 (counts as a dc) dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the ch 2 space, *ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the next ch 2 space, *Repeat Around,, sl st
      Rnd 4. *work 6 dc in the chain 2 space, sl st in the next ch 2 space, *Repeat Around,, sl st

    I love this video! I hate how gender stereotypes say that it's weird for a "straight guy to corchet". It is really dumb cause back then only men knit or sewed.

  • @EricKingston
    @EricKingston 5 лет назад

    In the beginning you say to do 15 double crochets in the middle ring but then you count out 16. Is it 15 or 16?

    All was well until the last row pattern when it became too wavy, like there were too many double crochets, i ended up with a frilly edge, maybe try 4 double crochets instead of the 6 as the pattern says then it should lay flatter, just saying.x
