Nick is pretty darn good at what he does but he has a Blindspot about certain takes and Brock Purdy is definitely one of them
Lamar has won 2 MVPs now. And has played like absolute trash in the playoffs. He also had 1 TD against the Chiefs and two more turnovers. Chiefs have the best defense in football other then maybe the Ravens.
Purdy has only played 1 and half seasons in the NFL. Has 2 NFC championship appearances and one Superbowl appearance. Was only a overtime away, against the defending champs and the best QB in football from winning a Superbowl.
Last season- Best QB rating - Best YPA- Best TD%- 3rd Passing TDs- 5th passing yards- 4th completion %- Best record in the NFC
But no this scrub has no chance at an MVP in his future.

In Lamar’s case he’s been playing longer, he’s already won MVP in the past and the superbowls are the only thing keeping him from being discussed in the same league as some of the greats. Same with Allen. Purdy is just starting to build his career and an MVP would be a great start

Purdy will win MVP after signing his fifty million plus contract, he is a great player, top five qb for sure, probably top two. Redrafts of his draft have Purdy as a top five pick- if he was one there would be no debate. Purdy is ten times better than any qb from his draft class, including the first round picks. Scouts missed on Purdy, and there is still bias based on his draft position, which was very similar to Brady's.
With all the weapons Purdy will have at his disposal, how can he not be better he's going to put up even better numbers. Let's go 49ers! 🏈
I’m a Houston fan admittedly, but I won’t deny that Brock is getting better every season. Last year he was in the damn Super Bowl and took the chiefs to overtime. And y’all know the defense had something to do with that. Brock almost took out mahommes. That’s just facts. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 9ers or lions make the superbowl for the nfc, and the chiefs get knocked out by either the ravens, bills, bengals, or even the Texans. On top of that the chiefs pissed off the AFC West. I think those 6 games will be hella tough.

@@samuelosborn294First off Brady had a pretty bad performance in his first Super Bowl (they only put up 13 points and his stats were very subpar). Brady also won his second Super Bowl in a similar way Brock Purdy would’ve won his had they operated under old sudden death overtime rules (by field goal). The difference is Brock Purdy played under new rules against the best quarterback in the league. That 49er drive in the Super Bowl that led to a field goal in overtime would’ve been a game winner under the old rules of sudden death overtime. Therefore his performance was not too dissimilar from Brady’s second Super Bowl win. Keep in mind he has only played a year and a half worth of games so this is only the beginning. Purdy is not Brady but he doesn’t have to be (no one is disputing Brady is the GOAT) and statistically he is doing better so far in his early career than Brady did in his. It’s a different game but Brady was very much a game manager very early on in his career with an elite top tier belichick defense.

- In the off-season last year, he said “the Purdy regression is inevitable”.
- Purdy then went on to being in the Super Bowl & being an MVP candidate, while breaking the franchise record & leading in QBR & Passer Rating for most of the season (coming off a torn UCL with less than a full year of games under his belt).
Now he’s assuming he can’t get any better. Notice a trend? Nick just always undercuts his potential & assumes the worst in him. He legitimately looks happy whenever Purdy didn’t have his best game or struggled. Honestly, it’s just weird.
