Let me help you with the meaning of the song ..FIANCE is a song thats all about wanting or desiring other man's woman ,so it is somewhat sensual ..on the refrain part ,Mino used a sampler of an old song ,that song talks about a woman who is waiting in the river for his man but she dont know if that man will be back so it is somewhat same with this song but its the other way around cuz Mino is the one who waits for "THAT GIRL" to be with him and to leave his boyfriend or husband .In the second verse he used some idioms there ..and as you can see theres a girls with a red dress ,they are the one who made Mino satisfied in sensual aspect or sex 😁 but at the end its still that girl that he want ..and at the end of the song ,Mino was kinda giving up to that girl .. The sampler in the pre-chorus with woman singing is actually from a popular korean trot song in the late 1960s/early 1970s called “Sohyang River Girl”. Mino’s XX album is a refreshing, unique, and intense musical journey. It’s like how does this man create such a variety of beats, melodies, and concepts of these songs?? His mind is truly interesting and just pure genius!
You are right a lot of people do not appreciate how well Yg allows his artist express themselves. You will barely catch idols who are members of a group use such words they have to appear in a certain way. Maybe that's why YG artists stand out. They just show their real self. So you either love them or hate them. But truth be told, most Yg artists are nationally loved by Korean and I'm not even talking about Bigbang because that's the nations group
The only other group I can think of that's not with yg is seventeen but on their b-sides and mixtapes. I was actually pretty surprised to hear them swearing on a few songs from their mixtapes too, that's not something I would have expected from a kpop idol group.
