This is a all time soul classic.
Yes,the White Queen of Soul. After Still amazing after 55 years.❤😊
Dusty was one of the greatest singers ever, inducted a few days after her passing into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Very good songs, You don't Have to Say you Love Me, I only Wanna be with You, Wishing and Hoping, A Brand New Me and more. Also did covers as good or better than the original as Linda Ronstat did.
This reminds me of the late 1960's wigs were really popular then. My mom had a couple of them herself. Blessings to you Faye. 🙏🌹❤️
Dusty Springfield "Son Of A Preacher Man" features on the soundtrack to Pulp Fiction. It was a hit from her 1968 album Dusty in Memphis. The sound of the song -- the walking bass lines, the backing vocals, and the horn section -- are the signature of what was called "the Memphis sound" established by Stax Records in Memphis, Tennessee. Her cover of "The Windmills of Your Mind" on side two is another stand out.
