The fear is real every time I open it 😂😂
Thank you so much 🙏 I have one of these beauties and haven’t opened it in a long time. I couldn’t remember how to do it.
I’m gonna be honest, after I initially pull up on the top housing, I never keep pulling it up to fully open the camera, but instead push back on the front of the camera out of intense fear of ripping the top housing off.
You shouldn’t do that though, it will put strain on the front hinges, and its rivets, which is worse.
Edwin Land said to pull the front of the viewfinder up first, then the rest
When did he do that? He didn’t! Why then would Land let Charles and Ray Eames make an advertisement film for the SX-70 where they open it this exact way?
