    I recently purchased a 690 and I was confused about how to scan my Polaroid photos. That's when I came across your channel, and I must say, it's absolutely amazing! Following your recommendation, I bought the adaptor from BFS and an Epson V370 from eBay. I have to admit, you were right, it's more than good enough. Thank you so much for your helpful suggestion!

    Got mine a couple months ago, but have been waaay too busy shooting Polaroids on the amazing I-2 to use it! Including a trip to Japan!
    I got some weak adhesive 2-sided tape from Japan. Set my Epson scanner to 1200 dpi, and went to enjoy a beer while it did its thing. 😅
    The tape worked great, securely holding the photos and easily releasing them when it was time. And the scans turned out great. 👍🏼
    I have a few hundred Polaroids to scan. But this holder is a godsend!
    Thanks, BFC, for having my back!

    I just got my adapter. I`m new to photoshop. I select the black background but I can`t seem to delete it. Your video isn`t very clear on this. I select as you do where the the black bakground is outlined on the border and the 4 images. Then what do I do?

    • @elijahnone2316
      @elijahnone2316 7 месяцев назад

      Follow his directions with the magic wand tool, tolerance at 100, and click on any black border from the adapter. Once you see the area is selected (should look like marching ants), hit delete on your keyboard. Make sure the image itself is NOT locked. Sometimes when you drag an image into photoshop, it automatically is locked. You will have to click on the lock icon in the layers section to unlock it.

    When I use this adapter, the shots scan noticeably blurry, much less sharp than when they are flat on the glass (but of course flat on the glass brings the rings). Any tips on the blurriness?

    • @uncultured3705
      @uncultured3705 10 месяцев назад

      I don't believe you can fix the blurriness, since these types of flatbed scanners are designed to focus directly at the point of contact on the glass. So if you raise the polaroid away from the glass you take it out of the flatbed scanners focus as far as I know.

    • @swar5141

      Interesting no one has addressed this issue. I’m having the same problem.

    • @uncultured3705
      @uncultured3705 9 месяцев назад

      @@swar5141 you need a more expensive scanner that has the ability to have an adjustable focus distance, even then you need to calibrate the the focus using shims & trial and error. As the focus isn't perfectly even across the scanner beds. So the solutions exist, they just involve a lot more $$. Using a large focal length lens with a digital camera is probably easier, unless you're scanning a large quantity of polaroids.

    $55 for something like this is wayyyyyy too much for the average person. I’d pay $10 if you sold singles instead of 4, but nah bruh. Only rich people will be buying this.

    • @UnconsciousChanting
      @UnconsciousChanting 6 месяцев назад

      @@lukeyager5039 The majority of people don't have 3D printers. If you value your time at less than $25/hour, that is also a problem. Maybe you should start your own business selling these if its so easy. BFC has a brand and an audience, both of which are worth something to them.
