As a child, I would watch the CPU play at max skill level, and I learned its tricks, and was the first one in my family to fully clear Stage Clear, beat Bowser in single player vs mode, AND reach speed level 99 in endless mode, as there was a bit of a race going on between myself and my mom to clear as much as possible first
