when i play a game and decide i want to speedrun it, I do a time of my own first to see how far i can get with just what i know. I got an hour and 16 minutes, which i thought was pretty good - I didn't double back except for twice, and i found that sliding off a ledge and timing a backwards hop correctly would give you a super jump. 18 minutes!?!?!?!!?!?!?! christ almighty
with games this enjoyable, i always cant wait to look up a speedrun after i beat them. just finished my first playthrough today and went straight to youtube and watched this. just phenomenal this run is and satisfying to watch!
Cool run, I've been practicing to hopefully submit a run of my own and seeing your runs is a constant source of inspiration. However, I want to ask why is Indignation gotten? Does the Lv.3 damage up make a huge difference on the Princess fight? I don't know the numbers on it, so I'm just asking out of curiosity.
It's just tight timing. You want to cancel the slide early and hit your next jump immediately. Highly recommend practicing the timing by going backwards first, since there's no flick involved; just hold back and try to double tap jump at the right time.
its actually the easiest part imo. even if u dont make the jumps as long as your moving in the right direction constantly you should only lose a few seconds.
Just a glance at it and now it's on my wishlist. Thanks.

Yeah, level 3 is a 75% damage boost. Very consistently saves more time than it takes to pick up!
Is there a technique for doing the super jumps? I can't get them consistently.

any chance you could post a short vid on how to practice the jump?@@NotThulius
I had thought about running this but the fumbling about in the dark cave at the beginning makes my arse too sore and salted to bother
You can throw your weapon and pick it back up to get some light in there early!
