These aren't really scientific terms. Giga generally means a coaster that is at least 300 feet tall but less than 400 feet (or has a drop that fits that definition.) But some people use the word with a more narrow meaning where it has a lift hill and no inversions...etc. Many enthusiasts use the word hypercoaster in a similar way (but the height range is 200 feet to 300 feet.) In this regard many people don't call coasters like Griffon, X2 or even Steel Vengeance "hypercoasters." But again, none of this is scientific and these words are up to interpretation. Some people will say Steel Eel is a hypercoaster but Red Force isn't a gigacoaster. I really think that's silly. But if we're using narrow definitions, I've got a head scratcher for you. What height category of coaster does Superman Escape from Krypton belong to?
Thanks to advanced computer assisted engineering, they can build even _taller_ Gigas with maybe _half_ the amount of supports as they would've needed 20 years ago!
i do think intamin will build another giga coaster but i doubt it will be in america ( unless it's universal or sea world). i'd put more money on parks were they have done recent good work like energylandia or a park from company des alphes like one of the walibi parks or parx asterix @Theme Park Predictions
A couple Six Flags might build a giga, but it will be years away (if its even still Six Flags).. I think all the Cedar Fair parks that can get one already have one, maybe Knotts but think its a long shot. Busch Gardens/Sea World seems likely especially if they keep pushing their spending. Both Dollywood and Silver dollar city could, but think it would end up being a terrain coaster without a massive lift hill. Holiday World wouldn't surprise me, I can see them doing a massive 50 million dollar expansion, but I don't think that is what is coming next. I would look over seas for the next Giga, either Europe or China. To be honest after Arie Force One, maybe Funspot :) Cedar Point will eventually build something massive, but not sure it would technically be a giga. With current economy world wide wont likely happen before 2030.
And six flags mm, like great adventure, has most likely looked into getting a giga coaster in the past 10 years. Great adventure was supposed to get one in 2012, so i have no doubts there has been plans for mm to get one too.
Welp this may be bold but idc....World's of Fun......yes laugh all you want... If the rumours are true about CF actually wanting to dump a load of money into the park in preparation for the FIFA championships held in Kansas City it kinda would definitely be appealing. Not to mention if they build it close to the road like the ton of room they have would be no problem.
@@KeepRidinCoasters One can dream. In reality I think we will get one when Mamba is retired when literally every park in the country has one or two by then
Haha giga coming to Elitches. They have 4 thrill coasters and one didn’t even open all year. Their woody sways too much and I don’t think they will ever spend the money to fix it, so they’re just leaving it closed. Yep giga confirmed
Hershey Park, in Hershey Pennsylvania, they could definitely afford to build a Giga coaster, but they probably won't build one, giga coasters are way to much of a thrill ride for Hershey Park, they aren't a cutting edge thrill ride coaster kind of a park, even the way that they name there rollercoasters is not very thrilling or scary, it's quiet frankly kind of mundane.
There's a good chance they would, and an even better chance that it has been planned for there to be one there a few times before. Great adventure was supposed to get a giga in 2012 that was going to be like i305 but on crack. It obvs never happened, but stuff like that has probably happened to mm.

I’ve rode fury 325 but I still prefer intamin’s gigas they invented the coaster type and MF is so smooth
It red force really a Giga? I feel like it’s just an accelerator with giga height
It could be the first launched giga coaster
What was Morgan’s called?
Steel dragon 2000
@@RandomStuffIol thank you. I was having a brain fart
Thanks to advanced computer assisted engineering, they can build even _taller_ Gigas with maybe _half_ the amount of supports as they would've needed 20 years ago!
I feel if anyone would break 500 ft it would be RMC
Maybe wild adventures will get a vekoma giga
i do think intamin will build another giga coaster but i doubt it will be in america ( unless it's universal or sea world). i'd put more money on parks were they have done recent good work like energylandia or a park from company des alphes like one of the walibi parks or parx asterix @Theme Park Predictions
Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
B&M got that arch design from intimin
Great predictions!!!
Great adventure was going to get one in 2024
Mans just did not talk about steel dragon which is the longest giga
Why? It’s not like Morgan is going to build another Giga :)
The haters can hate all they want but they still watched the videos 🤣
EXACTLY!!
Energylandia has probably the best shot for buying a b&m giga or a intamin giga.
A giga for sure! :)
I mean, great adventure got this close 🤏 to getting a b&m giga in 2024
@@KeepRidinCoasters it would been cool if they build a higher, longer, faster and steeper version of fury 325.
B&M😀good, Intamin 😒bad. Too tight of a layout = Gray-outs.
Yeah I went on ride of steel at Darien lake which is a hyper I can’t imagine going into a turn so fast on a giga after the drop
Gray outs make you stronger
Facts !
Did you forget about Steel dragon 2000 or just not include it because it’s in Japan and not North America
What prediction came true?
Ummm, this wasn't a prediction video? lol
@@KeepRidinCoasters I’m talking about all of your other videos.
If six flags would get a competent CEO, sfmm easily could do it.
Exactly!
So could great adventure. I mean we were literally going to get one in 2024 until the ceo fired the park president and canceled the giga.
And six flags mm, like great adventure, has most likely looked into getting a giga coaster in the past 10 years. Great adventure was supposed to get one in 2012, so i have no doubts there has been plans for mm to get one too.
So we’re just going to ignore steel dragon 2000? 😂
Me when I see red force in a vid “THAt not tallest giga fury is”
Welp this may be bold but idc....World's of Fun......yes laugh all you want... If the rumours are true about CF actually wanting to dump a load of money into the park in preparation for the FIFA championships held in Kansas City it kinda would definitely be appealing. Not to mention if they build it close to the road like the ton of room they have would be no problem.
I’d be cool with that happening! But I think it’s slim :)
If you're not saying a giga is coming to idlewild, do you even understand rollercoasters?
Lol
I wish bgw would get a giga.
I wish six flags magic mountain would get a giga but they would never pay for one
Give Me an Intamin Giga and get Goliath out of there!
Hi
Can/will SFMM ever get a giga?
One day hopefully :)
@@KeepRidinCoasters Not holding my breath, but I am holding out hope
There's a good chance they would, and an even better chance that it has been planned for there to be one there a few times before. Great adventure was supposed to get a giga in 2012 that was going to be like i305 but on crack. It obvs never happened, but stuff like that has probably happened to mm.
Height and drop don’t determine how much how many acres it covers? SHOCKING! 🙄
Ignore the haters 🤘🏼
Always haha I just love responding to them because they don’t expect it
@@KeepRidinCoasters fair! I think it’s funny how little fun they let themselves have daydreaming when we’re all talking about amusement/theme parks!
Knott's Berry Farm
Fury is awesome in the day, at night it's insane!! And when Carowinds turns into Scarowind, fury with it's green lights makes the park even more spooky
Great america!
WOF 2026 giga!!!!!
Orion isn’t a giga
And Apollo and Phantoms Revenge aren’t hypers
@@hangtimestudio Right.
It’s classified a Giga due to the “drop” 😂
@@KeepRidinCoasters I know I was joking lol
Orion is a giga
That so called rattle is nothing. Don’t be so critical. It’s a roller coaster. A coaster is going to have vibrations, “rattles” and such. These things are part of the overall experience.
