    I rode Mille just 2 weeks ago, and I was shocked how much vibration it had. I don't remember it feeling like that on my last ride in 2013. The lift hill still freaks me out on it too for some reason. I think you feel more exposed in the train climbing Milles lift hill. I rode Orion back in May and loved it. Back row is where it's at, IMHO more floater airtime than Diamondback. So if they want to call Orion a hyper, then it is the better hyper at KI.

      @@56jetman That ride I did last month was back row. And I was shocked, cause the ride in 2013 was much smoother. I'm hoping its just due to some worn parts on the train and not the overall ride itself.

      BGW or BGT could build one, they're about the only parks in the US I could see building one at the moment. BGW mostly, they apparently have a height waiver/permit that allows them to build up to 355 ft.
      Universal has the budget, but it doesn't seem like it would fit what they do, they're more about the themed experience and a giga doesn't really fit that, in my opinion.
      Six Flags can't afford one, especially after last year. In the future, they may be able to afford one, but it isn't looking good right now.
      Cedar Fair has one at every park that can reasonably fit one in their lineup. I don't think they'll ship one out to Valleyfair or WoF, at least not for five - ten years. Knott's has the crowds, but I don't think it would ever get out of the planning commission.

    • @zacg_
      @zacg_ 2 года назад +1

      These aren't really scientific terms. Giga generally means a coaster that is at least 300 feet tall but less than 400 feet (or has a drop that fits that definition.) But some people use the word with a more narrow meaning where it has a lift hill and no inversions...etc. Many enthusiasts use the word hypercoaster in a similar way (but the height range is 200 feet to 300 feet.) In this regard many people don't call coasters like Griffon, X2 or even Steel Vengeance "hypercoasters." But again, none of this is scientific and these words are up to interpretation. Some people will say Steel Eel is a hypercoaster but Red Force isn't a gigacoaster. I really think that's silly.
      But if we're using narrow definitions, I've got a head scratcher for you. What height category of coaster does Superman Escape from Krypton belong to?

    A couple Six Flags might build a giga, but it will be years away (if its even still Six Flags).. I think all the Cedar Fair parks that can get one already have one, maybe Knotts but think its a long shot. Busch Gardens/Sea World seems likely especially if they keep pushing their spending. Both Dollywood and Silver dollar city could, but think it would end up being a terrain coaster without a massive lift hill. Holiday World wouldn't surprise me, I can see them doing a massive 50 million dollar expansion, but I don't think that is what is coming next. I would look over seas for the next Giga, either Europe or China. To be honest after Arie Force One, maybe Funspot :) Cedar Point will eventually build something massive, but not sure it would technically be a giga. With current economy world wide wont likely happen before 2030.

    Hershey Park, in Hershey Pennsylvania, they could definitely afford to build a Giga coaster, but they probably won't build one, giga coasters are way to much of a thrill ride for Hershey Park, they aren't a cutting edge thrill ride coaster kind of a park, even the way that they name there rollercoasters is not very thrilling or scary, it's quiet frankly kind of mundane.

    That so called rattle is nothing. Don’t be so critical. It’s a roller coaster. A coaster is going to have vibrations, “rattles” and such. These things are part of the overall experience.
