I personally think Millennium Force is more scary just because going up the lift hill looking right at the water because that is almost all you can see
Yeah it is wild! And feels like the lift hill will fall over into Lake Erie lol
I agree with Brandon's inclusion of Steel Vengeance specifically because of the absurd amount of wood in that structure. That said, I totally get what you're saying with Millennium Force. From the time you enter the causeway and see the lift hill for MF, it looks unreal. It looks like it's taunting you and that no coaster like that should exist. TTD almost looks like a drop tower from a distance so it doesn't quite give you the heebie jeebies the same way. But MF clearly looks like a coaster and looks ridiculous. From several angles it looks like the drop is beyond vertical. But the sheer spectacle of MF is unlike any other coaster, especially because it looks like a giant off in the distance from your very first glympse of the park from the mainland.
I'm glad you put Eejanaika on the list, because I was sitting there thinking you were going to forget X2. Personally, I think X2 looks more intimidating, with its longer trains, drop into a ravine, and fireballs, but both are very intimidating. I also would have put Tatsu on this list because looking up at that flying coaster when you're under it is really a sight. Then once you're on it, you're looking from well over the top of the mountain, all the way down to the bottom, and out across the whole Santa Clarita Valley in the flying position and your only hope is that the vest and harness are strong enough to support your upper body and that your feet don't come out of the gigglers (yes that's actually what the foot restraints are called). Also, maybe Superman EFK, only because I have had many dreams where that car flies completely off the track.
Now that’s one quite impressive list, great job Brandon. Out of the coasters that you mentioned, the one that I think that’s intimidating has to be Cannibal (Lagoon). The enormous first drop just looks insane and the view of the Rocky Mountains when riders are going up the elevator lift hills is dazzling. It gives me Tatsu-like vibes. My honorable mention has to be X2 (Six Flags Magic Mountain). Here’s why, the excitement that people get when driving past it to enter the park is just amazing.
I agree.
Came here to find Cannibal 😂 that drop gets me EVERY time! I love the screams from people when they realize it's an elevator for the lift too!
It is so insane
X2 not being on here is pretty wild. The only more intimidating coaster in the world is Eejinaika
Yeah but I had Eejanaika as the most intimidating coaster. Since Eejanaika is larger - I didn't want to add both :)
@@TP_Recommendations fair haha. Just had to comment it lol.
Steel Vengeance and Iron Gwazi are some of the most intimidating RMCs I have ridden.
When discussing the Beast, I love it for the out of control feeling but pales in comparison to Mystic Timbers. OMFG that first drop in the back row with the 56 degree turn drop, you just get yanked down
I remember when I first rode the Cannibal the year it opened, I was so anxious. Going up that elevator did not help, and neither did hanging over the edge for a couple of seconds before the drop. This is one of my favorite rides. It still freaks me out, especially when we're upside down for at least 15 seconds and can't feel the seat with your butt bc it's a lap bar. It's a great adrenaline rush
That just sounds so awesome!!! Thank you for sharing!
Steel Curtain is the best ride in my opinion, the feeling of weightlessness over the path below and riding and being able to see the neighboring houses is just so cool. I’m also surprised skyrush or storm runner aren’t on this list.
Very solid list. It's an interesting issue because there are many things that make a coaster intimidating. I think that the thing that always makes a coaster seem intimidating to me is when the coaster is situated in such a way that it looks huge and overwhelming. So visuals do a lot to make a coaster seem intimidating in my opinion. Here are a few additional thoughts (and one you included) that aren't necessarily the most extreme coasters but that have an intimidating presence in their respective parks.
-Wild Eagle when viewed from the area near Fire Chaser Express or from Wildwood Grove. It just looks super big regardless of whether or not you love the coaster itself.
-Goliath/Titan at Magic Mountain and Over Texas. They are placed to intimidate park guests as they start their day
-I-305 when viewed from the Wave pool or the walk up to the station. It's a big giga coaster so of course it's intimidating. But when viewed from those areas in just looks like an untrustworthy radio tower with a rollercoaster attached. (I realize you included this one.)
-Several B&M hypercoasters look intimidating when approached, especially Goliath and Candymonium. I think those just look impressive at their park entrances.
-Every B&M Dive Coaster. I think this is kind of obvious.
-Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket and The Hulk. I think when you exit City Walk these seem like they frame their respective parks in a very intimidating way. Neither is especially tall but because they dominate their areas they get you pumped for your park day.
B&M Dives are intimidating for sure!
Yeah Wild Eagle is good too, simply due to the lift being on the tallest point in the park! Hope you're well Zac :)
I refused to go on Kinda Ka a couple years ago because I was unnerved about that height. I feel bad for not doing it now. Another ride that scares the crap out of me is Skyrush, even after riding it a couple times, it still manages to make me a bit uneasy... it's just that intense and I love it!
Yeah Sky Rush is wild!! Thanks for watching!
Eejanaika might be taller and faster than X2 but I still give X2 the nod in this trivia category because of the use of "Enter Sandman" as you go up the lift hill.
Looking at the sheer size of X2 is daunting. I know for a fact that my heart was racing so much I’m a coaster enthusiast and never have that adrenaline like i did on X2 and Fury
I have to mention X2! The standout on this ride is the soundtrack. I don't know if Eejanaika has a soundtrack, but on X2 when the train slows at the top of the lift hill, you hear this heartbeat! I rode many scary rides in my past, but this scared the #ell out of me! And then there were the fire jets! I didn't know what was happening to me! The rest of the ride didn't disappoint!
Sadly the soundtrack has been inoperable most of the time for the last few years. I have been fortunate enough to experience it with the soundtrack many times though. And yes. It definitely does mess with your psyche. Six Flags needs to fix it so it’s consistent.
Even though I am a gamning channel, I do call myself a themepark enthusiast. And still to this date, I can remember how a once little german stood in line to ride his first ever roller coaster: Colorado Adventure , at Phantasialand. And I can even remember to this date, how I was debating if I should ride it or not. But than just before the park closes, I experienced the adventure of riding my first coaster. Since then, I love riding coasters and I have ridden so much coasters, that I do not even know how many coasters I have ridden. Sadly, for the past 10 years, I was unable to ride coasters, due to weight and health issues. And so, I have been missing out, on incredible coasters, that are huge on my bucket list, like: Colossos, Taron, Kärnan, The Voyage, Fury 325, all of the RMCs.
For the past, 2 years I have been working hard on myself, getting my health back and loosing weight and I can not wait for the until I am cleared to ride Coasters. As when that date comes, I will be faster on board then the Doc can say, I am cleared to ride again. Unfortunately, I have never ridden a Giga. But, If i am allowed to say that, if it would be possible. I would be horned to ride my first Giga with you, Brandon.
Hope you have an amazing new year. And keep what you doing. You are truly a massive inspiration of how much hard work, love and effort you put into your channel.
(I guess, I should start to do that, too. And take this RUclips-Thing, serious. Same as you.)
Let’s go! Send me the link to your channel so I can subscribe:)
Nemesis is the most imposing invert. You enter the area, see the sign. Hear the roar and the music, it's barely 40ft and it's one of the most intimidating coasters ever built. Oblivion and the smiler are also really intimidating too.
American coasters are way more intimidating than UK coasters
To be honest, I'm not sure Nemesis is the most imposing invert in the UK! The Odyssey at Fantasy Island is massively tall, it's an SLC (which should put the fear into anybody), and that lift hill doesn't have a lot below it so you really feel the full height. The sign and music of Nemesis has never intimidated me, it's only a coaster (and a relatively small one these days!) - although it was the first invert I ever rode so I do love it :)
@@yes4956 Thats not true. To me, I think The Smiler looks more intimidating than some coasters on this list.
Great to see The Smiler getting a shout out! One of my favourite UK coasters, and it's my local theme park! I definitely found The Smiler intimidating the first few times i rode it. I've always found any and all dive coasters to be really intimidating too, as I'm so scared of heights.
I agree with Steel Curtain being high actually. In person it's super tall compared to other things in the park, the long and thin shape is unsettling, the lift hill is insanely loud and slow, and of course there's the world's highest inversion.
Voyage also feels really tall in person.
If there's any coaster I think is missing it's Do-dodompa, most enthusiasts who have been on it say the launch is the most intense coaster element in the world. Hope to experience it one day.
X2 is definitely the scariest ride I've ever been on. Millennium Force is intimidating because of the quick lift hill and steep 300 foot drop. Incredible Hulk is intimidating with the sudden launch during the lift hill.
The most intimidating coaster to me would be Do-Dodonpa, I genuinly hope i get to ride it one day.
It looks wild!
As a well traveled enthusiast, I have had the good fortune of being able to ride it. I don't know that I really feel intimidation with coasters anymore. But I do feel excitement. And Dodonpa called me before Eejanaika. (Both are awesome). Standing near the station and hearing that sound like a jet launch is incredible. And the launch is the most potent feeling I can remember ever having on a roller coaster. It's a one trick pony, but it's a REALLY good trick.
Surprised Do-Dodonpa didn't make the list. That launch looks like it'd rearrange your insides
Kingda Ka actually is my favorite rollercoaster because of how thrilling it is. My only ride on it that was a light rain, pitch dark, front row ride was the most thrilling experience I've ever had on a rollercoaster
WOW! That sounds like a great ride!!! Thanks for watching!
orient express was pretty cool could not wait to ride that ride when I was a kid in the 90s when I was tall enough
I love this list! I think Tatsu is a good honorable mention, up on the mountain top, and the way the ground slopes down as you climb the lift hill, hanging face down is one of the most intimidating moments of any ride I've been on!
Yeah Tatsu is by far the most intimidating coaster at Magic Mountain! Thanks for watching!
I know the ride isn’t the most intense but I’d put superman escape from krypton on here. That ride straight up dominates the skyline of sfmm plus the ride is so loud you can hear it from everywhere in the park
Yeah it’s wild for sure! I remember riding it back in 1998!
When you put SteVe and Igwazi there you should put Zadra together with Igwazi becouse the ride is almost the same just better and it's more intense and when you walk in the queue line under the zero g stall (I think it's the tallest stall in the world) than you're really scared even more than on Igwazi
Imagine riding The Beast for the very first time, but at night. You wouldn't know what was going on. Talk about intimidating.
This is 100% true! lol
It’s intimidating in another way but verboten before launching into the dark indoor section is intimidating for first time viewers
I agree to that! You go into thinking - what's inside of the building! Such a great coaster!
I personally don't find the smiler intimidating because when I was younger I was more scared of Oblivion the B&M dive coaster
Oh really? Why’s that? Just the straight drop?
@@TP_Recommendations yeah, The drop is purposely designed to be intimidating and I knew I could handle inversions even back then
Solid list. One of the most intimidating for me was Colossus at Thorpe Park-I’m not afraid of heights, I love the feeling of falling, but that quad heart line roll? Fear of 🤮 for sure.
Good list, I'd love to ride some of these. They look like dream coasters.
An inversion based coaster that's extremely intimidating is sik at flamingo land here in the uk it has lap bars like tell curtain but they the more freeing intamin overshoulder la bars and the there's 10 inversions including that quad barrel roll they are insane
I always approach my I305 rides with a bit of trepidation. Until someone in line taught me to squeeze my core like a fighter pilot in training, I blacked out every time. I’m always thinking “is it going to work this time”? Ka doesn’t make me black out, but the first time I rode it, it scared me something fierce. It was my 10 year old niece’s birthday wish to ride it since she was tall enough, and being the responsible adult was more terrifying than the coaster itself.
Great list!
For the GP, I think Yukon Striker would be on my list. The reactions when they see the train stop and hang are hilarious!
I think it's magnum that lift hill takes so long and the water park keeps getting smaller and smaller yet still more to go
I love magnum’s lift hill! So good!!
I was actually kinda worried when intimidator 305 wasnt on the list for a while
Have you been on it? It's so great!
@@TP_Recommendations Yeah it's an awesome coaster! Very snappy and I rode it a lot of times since there was no wait and every time on that first turn I gray out
For me, all floorless coasters and coasters that go upside down without a over-the-shoulder harness is intimidating. I won't go on them. I'll definitely be checking out the link that you have in the description on enjoying coasters.
Thank you Rachel! And yes, any roller coaster that offers an inversion that doesn't have a over the shoulder restraint is still wild for me. But i love it :)
The Ride To Happiness in Plopsaland De Panne is the last rollercoaster that intimidated me
Intimidator at Carowinds feeling the shame right now
I mean, Fury is in the same park. And my list is based off of one coaster per park :)
Out of roller coaster i have road it would be my first ever roller coaster I wanted to ride furry 325 at carowinds i definitely was terrified going up the lift hill but when i got over the drop i realized how much I actually like roller coasters. My 2 would be kinda ka definitely looks terrifying but fun. 3rd probably my actual first ever roller coaster mystery mine at Dollywood when i was 8😂 i cried at the end i was so overwhelmed. 4th pantheon at bush garden Williams burg was scary for sure so much fun. So thankful for my cousins who love rollercoasters putting me on fury the are the ones who have taken me to Dollywood, bush gardens and carowinds my hometown park well its 45min away. Love your videos thank you for reading this long post. Hope you have a great week
That’s amazing! Fury? Wow! Mystery mine was your first coaster? Ouch 😂 🎢🎢🎢
I don’t usually feel intimidated when I see a giant coaster but I kind of felt that when I saw Iron Gwazi in person
Yeah it’s just so massive with nothing else around it . It’s really beautiful
Personally, iron rattler at night is the most intimidating as the way its lit up and sits on the quarry wall makes it look 250 feet tall.
Nice list! I feel like this relates to music. Let me explain this really quickly. Riding something that’s intimidating is almost like listening to a new genre of music. If something is really intimidating for you, then that genre is not for you. Not every genre is for everyone, including myself.
Also prayers for Damar Hamlin. Last night was rough.😢😢
you really caught me of guard with the bengals love so all I can say WHO DEY BABY
Lol love the bengals
I haven’t ridden many coasters yet only having ridden all the rides at Carowinds, BGW, and Dollywood but based on my trips Lightning Rod is insanely intimidating when watching it. You see those trains launch up the hill and have no idea what is happening on the backside of the hill only to see the train come screaming down over the quad down into that step 180 degree helix. I saw PoVs of that beast and still was intimidated watching it in line.
Lightning rod is wild! I love it! Thanks for watching!
Drop towers are the most fun. The higher the better. I have yet to travel to a park where there is a tilting one. What a rush that be.
Prayers for Damar Hamlin
100%. Scary situation. Both teams have handled it with absolute class!
I haven't rode many roller coasters, but my first thought was "cannibal is probably on this lift." I had chills walking to the tower structure from the sky line
Honestly, I would love to ride all of them, and will make a point to within the next few years.
You should :)
I think Tatsu should be very high on the list. I find more people freaking out on its lift hill more than any other lift hill. It feels like a hyper and you are facing straight down for like 15 second before the ride starts. The other B&M flyers in the US are nothing compared to this ride. The other coasters that I would include:
X2- Breaking your rule but again people freak out
Eejaniaka- A bigger more intimidating X2
I-305- Giga with two supports
Millennium Force- Giga right by the lake.
Kingda Ka- World tallest roller coaster although I think with the restraints Top Thrill Dragster is more intimidating to the GP.
Fury 325- Giga's can do it to people. See a trend.
Cannibal- This is a close second to Tatsu for pre ride freak outs.
TMNT ShellRaiser- The fact you are holding in the ceiling for a good like 7-10 seconds. Takabisha would have to be considered as well, but I think the fact you are indoors, taller than the ceiling.
SkyRush- The forces it put on you.
Smiler is probably a good choice as well.
I don't see how the Beast made the list. Straight track doesn't really scare people..... I think Orion, Diamondback, and Banshee are probably more intimidating to the GP.
The Beast made the list due to the unknown of what happened. That's the only reason. I mean, how often does a park offer a major roller coaster that you can't hardly see from the park? If you haven't been on the Beast and not seen a POV, the pure thought is intimidating.
Thank you for always sharing your thoughts! I hope you and your family had a great holiday!
the one that intimidated me the most was kingdaka because it was my first strata coaster
The joy I felt when you said you were a Bengals fan.. WHO DEY!!!!
Been one since like i was 5 in 1988 lol
Karnan sounds wicked
I'll never get to go visit parks overseas, so I don't care if I see surprise elements.
I'd say the flying fish at Thorpe park personally
You mention 2 coasters in Sweden. Have you been in Sweden.
Liseberg that is my home park is only a 15 min bus ride from my home.
You should watch Valkyria (B&M dive coaster). Many says it is a top 10 dive coaster cause it dont have a mid course breake run.
Keep up the good work. Take care.
Most intimidating part of any coaster for me, is if I am gonna fit or not lol. That being said the most intimidating part of Steel Curtain for me, is how sloooooow the lift hill is. I am terrified of heights but love coasters. The longer I am at a certain height the more time I have to think of the what ifs lol.
YES! That lift hill goes on forever and it's so steep!!!!
I thought Sheikra was scarier looking than gwazi . Especially when you’re under the ride with the trains passing upside down over your head .
I was super intimated when first riding Fury 325 and Millennium Force. Both coasters are among my favorites now but at first, not so much. Lol
They are so intimidating for sure! lol
Man I remember when I went to Kennywood a lot last season, there was this one guy who would only ride the steel curtian, and I always saw him on the wednesdays I went there
That's wild! I wonder how many rides he has on it!
I’m surprised skyrush didn’t make this list, the lift on that is very intimidating, has a steep angle, and a fast lift hill
Frontierland really
If I ever go to Kennywood I will definitely have to think about wearing my chase jersey to the park 😂😂
DO IT! And you def need to wear it!
No roller coaster has been intimidating because I am so angry that I am forced to ride with strageer dude getting to cut the line because I ride solo. After I waited in line for a speciffice spot on a train. Here comes some rando from wherever. No one pulled me up in line. What a gyp! I just wanna enjoy a ride in peace.
X2 should fit in here at 1.5. or 1.1. I promise it's the most insanely intimidating coaster in the US.
I did gray out for like a sec in the gray out portion in intimidator 305 😩
I bet the new project exodus at Thorpe park will be up there when it opens.
Magnum XL-200
It's a bucs life for me. 😝
I would vote oblivion at Alton towers in the UK the way it holds you over a black hole that's full of mist is certainly intimidating
Me wondering how iron gwazi is more intimidating than zadra-
Awesome video!! Walking up to some of these intimidating coasters, give me so adrenaline! I love it! Can't wait for the 2023 coaster season to begin!! 🎢 🔥
Me too! What's your home park?
@@TP_Recommendations Hersheypark. But I visit Six Flags Great Adventure more!
Intimidator 305 is the only right I've been on that consistently makes me blackout
How isn’t skyrush on here?? All these ppl say it is so painful and is basically regarded as a top 2-3 most intense coaster… the gp hate for it def proves it
Son of Beast was a far more intimidating than gwazi or SV. it freaking looked like a cartoon. You just turned left from the entrance and just saw a mountain of wood.
I agree to that. It was super intimidating. Too bad it's not there anymore... Though I prefer Banshee :)
I love X2.
All of them look very intimidating to me. I'm not even sure I would be able to ride them except the Beast. Scary. I don't like heights. I survived Yukon Striker and Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland. Leviathan scares me. Yikes.
I went on the fury 325 and it’s scary
I plan on wearing my Ravens jersey to Kennywood
I can agree with iron gwazi. It’s at my home park and at the time I’m typing this I’m going tomorrow with my friends and we’re gonna get our first night ride on it and I’m really excited
I was surprised to not see X2 on there but I see why lol
"the most memorizing view" lol
I mean technically Steel Vengeance’s structure was not initially stable lol. It swayed beyond a reasonable amount and boards straight up kept snapping off 😂
(Repairs were later made I’m not implying it still is unsafe)
Enjoyed the list...jules in the uk
Thank you Jules! I bet you are excited about Project Exodus & Nemesis :)
So El Toro didn’t make the list?
I said in the video - I am doing one coaster per park. And I don’t consider el Toro more intimidating than ka :)
Who Dey 🐅
YES! Who Dey!
Are their any intimidating Roller Coasters on the West coast and could you mention them, like Knott's,etc.
Who Dey!
WHO DEY!!!!
Midway Mayhem should be canceled. He was a ride operator of the Orlando free fall and they are being accused of falsifying training records. He’s a piece of work for trying to avoid it. It’s unacceptable and he should be investigated! A 14 year old is dead here. And I’m sure he was more than just a ride operator! Also this is the reason drop towers are going to be removed!
Seek help Greg.
I think Tyreek Simpsons family should seek help! Maybe if you all didn’t falsely training records and actually trained , you all would of know the weight limits of the ride! You are a piece of work for fighting back on this one!
Who Dey!!
Yes!!!!!!!
Who Dey
Okay, I'm not going on a 9 inversion coaster with only a lap bar. Even Tatsu offers butterfly restraints. Lol at the ugly steelers color scheme.
Lol
It’s ugly but restraints are great
Any rmc coaster is scary lol
Who dey indeed
You didn't put your other video in the description
Who dey!!
Let's GO!
What is 6 minus 0 for super bowls mean
It means that we will win 6 Super Bowls before the year 2040 :) lol
I would have added Rip Ride Rocket due to the lift (and roughness) along with Maxx Force due to the launch actually being much more intense then any other launch coaster.
iron gwazi is way way way scarier then steel vengeance
Ughhh not you too, it seems like at the worst time for me everybody is a bengals fan. Go bills.
Edit: Also your videos are amazing keep it up!!
Thank you! Go Bills & Bengals!
@Theme Park Predictions I’ll take it!!!
WHO DEY!!!
Let's go!
