As for rock crawling it is not really my thing but at 80 years old I am always interested in learning about new things. Therefore I found the episode very interesting. The fact that you guys include so much variety into your vlog is what makes it so interesting, Whether you guys are doing engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, restoring a John Deere, salvaging a cabin cruiser, rehabbing a camper, updating Roxie, etc,. you guys make it enjoyable. Keep up the good work and I will keep enjoying. The Hammer thing in January- go for it.
I'd love to see you do a set of vids on KOH. I'm not a rock crawler, and would never make it out to see it in person. The perspective you provide to these sorts of events is fascinating.
oh heck yeah! More King of Hammers!! Theres a bunch of youtubers there from Utah too, ya'll would definitely get along with em all....would love to see it. Nice work on the Vette too
King of the Hammers is such an awesome event. I love how they build a town in the middle of the desert just for this event! I can't wait to get back out there for KOH.
Hey Guys, great episode! Emily it was so wonderful to here the Absolute Joy in your voice and see the Huge SMILE 😁😆😊on your Face, True magic! I would say that I hope you had a great time, but there is no need as it was so evident. Love y'all can't wait for the next episode.
After 30 plus years of living in the CA High Desert it has lost some of its appeal to me because summer always comes but the sunrises and sunsets are epic if you are out of the city. The fact that you got to dip your feet into the offroad world by starting in several hundred thousand rigs is the lottery. People don't really understand what they are capable of. $20 to $40,000 in shocks alone allow for some tremendous feats. So glad you got to get off the pavement and experience this. Really is truly incredible and the best part is you don't have to worry about sirens as the foot is smashed to the floor. Lmao
Rock crawling is another of the amazing things we can do with automobiles. There are so many forms of racing and enjoying your cars/trucks and they all amaze and interest me. Have known guys with rock crawlers, always wanted to go but have not had the opportunity. Definitely would love to go through your lens
I hope you guys make it to KOH! It's a truly amazing event and one for the books. The party at night watching people run the trails. The fireworks shows every night, the amazing racers and just the welcoming environment with such cool builds all over the place!
been there, more than a week of races, over 60, 000 people, find a place to stay near hammer town, dont try to get in and out daily. have fun, be safe, oh and you will not get any sleep.
KOH is an awesome time even if you don't have a rig to beat on in fact if you're thinking about building a rig it's worth going to you'll learn the strong points and weak points of different builds and even if you don't plan on driving into Hammertown ever again you'll have a good idea of what parts will be best to use on your build for your local wheeling spot
I would love to do a Baja 1000 type of desert race in one of those rigs like what Emily "broke". Maybe with an engine more geared for speed than rock climbing.
I would love to see KOH through your camera lens! Road trip the new Bronco and travel trailer out west. LOL. There's a lot to dislike about California, but our winter weather isn't one of them. (of coarse it'll be a bit cold up there in the high desert) Glad you had fun. Be safe!
I used to live in Lucerne Valley (just West of where this takes place) and then Apple Valley (farther West), but I moved to East Texas (not far from you) in 2021. Never went to the King of the Hammers, but I used to go to desert races in that area all through the 1980's. I would love to see your coverage of the race if you decide to go.
Awesome to see some Ultra4/KIng of the Hammers coverage! Y’all should checkout Rufus Racing. They are based out of Texas and race multiple classes of Ultra4.
Does that electric car have solar panels? I would hate to be out there and run out of juice! You can't just borrow some gas from a buddy in that thing. Love and hugs from Waco.😁
18:10 I was jus gunna say... why ain't that dirt eatin sububeran explorerer wutever thingie have LOCKERS ????? there is only one wheel spinning no wonder you got stuk!!!! lol sigh reminds me of a neighbor in his big 4x4 that was only really a 1x4 when I saw him trying to get out of a snow bank in the 80s lol hahaahahahahah sigh..... before I kne3w about welding the pumpkinz.......
if you have never experienced the king of hammers and you have the opportunity I would do it and if you can film some of it awesome. i hope not every vehicle you got in broke down on your trip.......ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ
I would love to see your KOH experience!

2023 KOH was such a joke with people skipping the rock chutes and bypassing hard obstacles but not getting penalized for it.
