  • This large four floor abandoned house in Connecticut has everything left behind. Vintage sofas, beds, piano, computer equipment, video game equipment, toys and unique living spaces. It looks untouched except for possibly the family sorting through the belongings. The house is on a busy main road so I couldn't stay long although all the doors were unlocked. I also didn't go in the basement because I had no flashlight. I hope you all liked what I was able to video. From what I could find out, the house has been abandoned since 2019. I couldn't find the current owner, but someone has been paying the property taxes. The previous owner was an older gentleman who also operated his business from the house. He has grandkids which explains all the toys. This would be a great house to buy as is with all the contents - what fun that would be. I bet there's lots of hidden treasures in there.

Got an eerie feeling. It is sad to see such a nice place falling apart. There must be so many memories, that died with the former owners.Thank you for sharing the experience.

It is a beautiful house. I loved the finished attic space. It was built in 1820 and then the part with the picture windows was added on. It sits on 3 acres, has 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. I hope someone saves it from before nature destroys it. Thanks for the comment Ren Ga.

You could go down to the tax office and see if the taxes are in arrears and buy it, by paying taxes, you'd have a nice home, just fix the dent in the roof!

I did check and someone is paying the property taxes. The house was built in 1820 and then two sections were added on to the back years later. It's been vacant for about 3 years as far as I can tell. I think the surviving family members took what they wanted and left the rest.

With 2 hydro meters, the owners was renting part of it.The dent in the roof looks like a tree hit it.
This is a turn of the century home.
In 2010,a lot of Americans couldn't pay there mortgages, from what I heard back then!
This home looks ok other then the dent in the roof,no black mold!
    But what a waste!

It's so sad that you can tell someone's ran sacked the house. And taken what they wanted. Some people have no respect. And it is a very nice house. It's so sad to see the kids toys. They all could have passed away in an accident who knows ?

    • @imaginaryfriendsadventureclub
      @imaginaryfriendsadventureclub  Год назад +4

I think the family took what they wanted and made the mess searching through things in a hurry. There were signs on the table when I first walked in that read "keep" - those were placed on the items they removed. They sure did make a mess though.

@13:37 or as soon as you turn around from the trunk and start up the steps you can hear a voice say something very faint and very fast like “ Let me ..” I believe that’s the time stamp or close to it cuz it’s as soon as your back is to the trunk and your starting up the steps. Please let me know if you hear it also. Great video as always!

Judging by the yard & the condition of the house it hasn't been vacant too long
Not sure why so many rooms filled with old computers old
T.V.s toys & kid stuff possibly elderly people that had grandchildren living with them for awhile something very common these days Not quite sure why all abandoned houses look like they've been ransacked the homeowners didn't appear to be hoarders if they were you'd see trash & disgusting mess & disrepair everywhere & if there were squatters there would also be evidence of that & there appears to be none so the only other conclusion would be family members making a mess as they're going through stuff?
In any event you can tell it's an amazingly well built house well cared for through the years and I'm sure the yard was beautiful as well. Really hope someone buys it & takes loving care of it

Well, when that home was 50 yrs younger,I bet the traffic was like 1960s,then the owner either couldnt sell because the traffic noise is so loud you can't sleep, inside or enjoy the back yards.
My mother's place was nice to sleep outback in a tent back in the 60s through early 70s.
Life produced more cars ,traffic, and so much noise, that sleeping in back yard was hard.
Or the person that lived here died, moved to nursing home, so,when u get old ,you might not give a shit about life's trinkets!
If the highway,is rural, the chance of selling it ..tough,!
If they committed suicide, personal effects don't matter,or they lost contact with there children, some families don't get along !
If u noticed, the towels were not in the bathroom!
Maybe they went on vacation and got killed in an accident, you never know!
